Cornette may of been the second best heel manager of all time, but he too had issues with avoiding face pops. Even though Owen was a midcarder for most of his career, he really had no problem remaining one of the top heels of the company with the reactions (The obvious exceptions are in Canada and after the Screw job).

I never ever liked Owen as a Heel. He just annoyed me and made me dislike the product. Don't get me wrong, he was a phenominal wrestler. But his voice legitimately made me grid my teeth, as much as I hate to say that. Cornett, on the other hand, pissed me off enough to want the Face to win. It was different. Cornett was doing his job better. Cornett.
