Re: Best Heel Ever Tournament: Bryan Danielson vs Kevin Sullivan
I dunno, I'm leaning more to Danielson here. Sure Sullivan was evil but there wasn't alot else to him. Danielson may have gotten his share of cheers as a heel, but you just have to watch his title reign to see what an amazing job he did of making faces look good and getting the fans behind them. Guys like Colt Cabana and Delirious were over but never really the sort of guy people viewed as title material until they had matches with Dragon and both of them instantly looked like Gods. He also did loads of great touches to piss off the smark crowds (something which always impresses me). For example, he used the Aeroplane Spin alot and it got over and it almost became a face spot because the fans popped for it and wanted to see it. What did he then start to do? Pick up his opponent and tease the move, then when the fans popped for it he dumped his opponent down and told thr crowd to go fuck themselves. Touches like that put him ahead of Sullivan for me.
