Re: Best Heel Ever Tournament: Tully Blanchard vs Edge
This one is kind of tough. On one hand you have Tully who's a midcard version of Ric Flair. While many people hated him, he did have his fair share of fans. Edge on the other hand got heat when he was supposed to be a babyface and only then got heat as a heel when people found out he fucked Lita in real life.
Eh, I'll give it to Tully for being the embodiment of what a heel was in the 1980's.

I'm not sure. I doubt it though. I seem to recall Flair doing a lot of his mannerisms long before Blanchard really made it big. To be fair, Tully was very Flairish.
Re: Best Heel Ever Tournament: Tully Blanchard vs Edge
I dunno either, I'm fairly sure I've read it several times he did. I agree he was pretty much a mid-card Flair though.
Still going to go with Tully. Edge in a tag team was more of a goofy comedy heel more than someone you'd take seriously. Edge only really had one good year as a heel which was 2006 when he cashed in the Money In The Bank, tried to have a live sex celebration, told ECW to fuck itself and punched Cena's dad in the face. He lost pretty much all his heat when he went to Smackdown and these days barely gets a reaction because all the heat is on Vickie.
Trying to stab Magnum TA in the face with a chair leg > Punching Cena's dad.
Re: Best Heel Ever Tournament: Tully Blanchard vs Edge
Doing the Rated R gimmick for Edge was what really got all that Heat on him in the first place for me and when he pinned Cena, cashing it in, Edge then became the megastar that Tully never could. Tully was a phenomenal mid-carder and your right Jim, Tully was the Ric Flair version of a mid-carder and did everything right in the 80's but to me, once Edge really hit his stride and finally got catapulted into the superstardom, that's when the heat finally went to Edge and that's when he got the vote for me.

I'm absolutely shocked by this. One of the better heels in my lifetime losing to a guy who got heel heat when he was a face, only got heat when people found out about his personal life and has been on the decline of being a great heel since then. This just blows me away.

Not everybody follows the great Wrestling Wisdom you preach Jim. Most fans on here are not that familiar with Tully's work and that's why they've voted for Edge.
