The fans never really bought Benoit as a heel. Especially in the WWE, they just wanted to cheer for him. Whether a face or a heel, Benoit was Benoit. There was never a big difference between the two. Rave on the other hand, was one of the better heels in ROH history. If this is just about who made you hate them more, Rave has to be the clear favorite.

Some folk may vote Benoit because they likely haven't seen anything of Rave, but I bet if they saw him stand on a chained woman, get constantly TP'd and his facial expressions they'd think otherwise.

I've seen a fair amount of Rave in ROH, and his heel work makes me wonder why TNA never gave him an actual character of his own. Well, obviously that question answers itself due to the stupidity of TNA's bookers, but anyway...

The fans just hated the guy so much. Nothing Benoit has done in terms of heel work compares to that.

Benoit was a wrestler first and foremost and never really cared to much to play the heel or the face that consistently because he just loved to go out there and put on a great wrestling match. Benoit > Rave as a Wrestler by far but this is for being the best Heel and in ROH, Rave easily had the fans in the palm of his hand and was one of the best Heel's the company had ever had in quite some time and like Tom said, made me question why TNA gave up on him so early. Rave gets the vote for me.
