Best Heel Ever Tournament: Nigel McGuiness vs Shane Douglas

Nigel has been a heel through most of his time on the independant circuit, Douglas was heel through the majority of his ECW tenure and most of the 90's as well as his stint in TNA.

Can Nigel overcome the longevity and more established heel career of The Franchise?

Douglas was just a prick everyone hated. Maybe it's because Nigel worked for a primarily smark audience, but he never really kept the heel heat going long. With the exception of Jimmy Rave and the CZW guys, it's hard to be a real heel in ROH. Douglas gets my vote.

This is close, both were/are pretty good at working a smark crowd. Nigel has his fans, but generally the ROH crowd is harder to play than the ECW crowd and he gets monster heat from them. Plus he does a far, far better job of making faces look good than Douglas ever did.

Tough one, Douglas threw a belt in the trash, Nigel does ridiculous-looking moves to piss off the internet fans.

To me, Nigel stands out more because of his improvement since he won the title from Morishima. Once Douglas won it, he changed the profile of ECW and helped ECW establish a crude attitude but match quality wise, Nigel could make his opponents look good while Douglas could care less but save his own ass.
