I think if the guy really doesn't want to change his name he shouldn't have to. I mean we can explain it to him it isn't a big deal and everything. But if he doesn't want to have that kind of light hearted attitude towards it we shouldn't force anything upon him.

Being as that's not the way it's been done before since this rule came into affect I'd say you could cut people some slack for being less than attentive to a post they felt they'd already read before. Also, how do you know that everyone didn't do exactly as Necro did? I see no reason why PMing the nominations and then posting them wouldn't be allowed, it just helps the nomination get noticed and may mean others nominate it to.
