Alright, I don't know much about this game but I've heard fantastic things. So I decided, "Why not rent it?" Seeing as I get one free rental a month and I usually use it on a video game. I brought it home and the beginning you start out as a child and everything. So like it really gives you a feel of what is going on. A lot of games throw you in a fire fight right off the bat but this was really nice. Anyway, I've dwelled more into the game and I've just been amazed by it so far.
The thing I love the most if the slowed time shooting. It stops the game and lets you focus on a specific body part. Not only is this fun to do, but it makes it easy for people who aren't the best at getting their cross hairs perfect. I've barely even scraped the tip of the iceberg as far as how long it takes to beat this game but I'm already blown away after about 4 hours of game play. I thought it would be a good game to mention and to see what everyone else thought of it. I know Jordan has played it, but I don't see it on anyone else's XBox Live account on here.
I'm looking forward to what other people have to say about it. I personally am loving it right now and I'm hoping to add it to a Christmas list. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, game of 2008.

Nicky, I've heard this game can't be played on live, so that might be the reason it's not on anyone's "list".

Nicky, I've heard this game can't be played on live, so that might be the reason it's not on anyone's "list".
Anyways, I've played the game once at a friends house and I loved it. It just has a great atmosphere, and from what I saw, the story mode looked great.
Relentless if you can play it on Live or not it should still show up as one of the games you've played, or maybe you're saying because it doesn't have Live people aren't going to play it. Either way this game is pretty much amazing.
I haven't been able to pay too much attention but you're searching for your father. I think the game play alone could keep you interested in the game, but it all depends what kind of person you are. To me, being able to slow down time and target someone's head until it explodes is enough amusement for me.

I'm just telling you now Nicky, it's amazing by far. I finished the game already, and the storyline goes by fast if you only do the main missions following your father. If you want the game to last, go do side missions as well. This makes the game MUCH more worth it. I bought it last month on black friday, and it was only 20 dollars, so I got it. I'm glad I did too, it's amazing! Storyline is great... but short. It's just like oblivion, Abyss, imo. Not EXACTLY like it, but the gameplay is very similair. Like Nicky said before, the VATS system is sick as hell, and the perks you get along w/ all the stuff you can do. All the choices you can make. IT's amazing!
Did you blow up Megaton Nicky, or did you save the city?

.. is that it's got a GREAT landscape. It's HUGE! and it lets you do a lot more things. It's based in DC, so it's really awesome. It resembles it a lot for the most part too. At least the downtown DC. If this were to happen in real life... I can see it happening.

I WOULD HAVE BEEN 3-0-0 BUT CGS WENT UNDER.
I'm just telling you now Nicky, it's amazing by far. I finished the game already, and the storyline goes by fast if you only do the main missions following your father. If you want the game to last, go do side missions as well. This makes the game MUCH more worth it. I bought it last month on black friday, and it was only 20 dollars, so I got it. I set it to that too, but it was still pretty difficult. I can't really kill everyone in Megaton. I always die because of everyone trying to kill me at once. lmfao. I always run out of ammo. But yeah, I took up that guys offer and blew up Megaton. Also later, idk how far you've gotten, but you can choose to take over a hotel or kill a bunch of ppl to become a high class member of the hotel. lol. Sorry if I ruined anything for you. You didn't ruin anything for me. I'm just getting the to radio station right now. But I accidentally tried opening the door to the place without a key and now all those elite soldiers are shooting the shit out of me. Hopefully it didn't save when that happened. They just started unloading on me for no reason. I'm definitely thinking about adding this to my Christmas list, just going back and playing it would be fun.
