So, i was on my router page checking the firmware and it said there was an update so i downloaded it and installed it.
However, after doing that, i now cannot connect to anything with it, internet, xbox, AOL, nothing.
All the lights are green on the front and my network places on my pc say everything is connected and working fine.
Help.

Are you able to access the configuration page for the router still?
I would say what likely happened is when it loaded the new firmware, it probably did not retain your previous settings, so you'll need to re-enter all your connection information.
BTW, I have that same router, and it is by far the worse router you will ever purchase in the history of Netgear. It's so bad, people consumers have even attempted class action lawsuits to get partial refunds / new routers. It's a good chance that you have in fact fucked yourself. I know when I first bought mine, it worked like a champ. I too do regular firmware updates when they are available, and the first one I applied was the end of my router. Constant disconnects requiring hard resets. Daily, I have to unplug my router at least twice to reset it because of a lost connection. Then if you complain to netgear, they will say it's because of wireless phone frewquency, which is BS because I've removed wireless phones from my home, unplugged the TVs, anything that could possibly interfere, and it still happens.
Anyhow, that's my story on this router. If you have to end up buying a new one, I'd highly recommend this one: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
