A boy, 15, has had an epileptic seizure after playing World of Warcraft for 24 hours straight with six other friends. To be exact, Wrath of the Lich King, an expansion pack that recently came out, was being played. Scientists say that this happened because of lack of food, sleep and over-concentration. His father was quoted as saying,
"They played all day and all night. Maybe they got a few hours of sleep. They ate a little food and breakfast at their computers."
The father has also said that he will now limit his son’s time spent on the computer.
Thankfully the kid will make a full recovery but seriously, I give props for those kids to play a game for 24 hours straight!
His father needs to take a hammer and the WoW game and smash it straight to hell. TBH, the kid shouldn't listen to his friends and tell them to go fuck themselves. He'll probably repeat the same thing the next time he does it without thinking about what happened the last time he gotten a seizure.

Yeah, when I was younger, I'd always game for ridiculously long periods of time. Worst that ever happened was a headache. Seriously, I must have gamed for 2 or 3 days with no sleep and all I ate and drank were chips and soda.
I miss being a kid. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

But seriously, kids these days need to go out and get a life.
Elaborate on this, because I'd much rather a kid play video games at home then go out and get involved in drugs/alcohol, etc. What constitutes a "life?"
And tbh, I remember playing video games non-stop when they'd first come out. I think I messed around in SS2 for a good 36 hours before taking a break.

Exactly. There's a lot "worse" things out there than gaming.
Hell, I must have played Pokemon Red for 20+ hours, easily. And all the time until I indeed, caught them all.
I've only played WoW for 10 hours straight; but I've done it tons of times.
Almost all Lan parties go on for more than that, and if you are into that kind of thing, you really are used to gaming for long periods of time.
Just think of it this way..Would you rather your kid sits home and plays WoW for two days straight, or rather him out doing drugs and getting trashed at parties for the same amount of time?
Nothing against parties,drinking,etc..I'm using this scenario for younger kids, who's parents obviously wouldn't want them to be drinking/partying.

There are much worse, and much better things he could be doing with his time.
