I did a search and some looking and couldn't find an actual thread about Total Extreme Wrestling 2008. Given the nature of the site, I have to assume there are some fans of the game on here...
In case you don't know the game, its the latest version of a text-based wrestling booking simulation. Pretty well done and deep game. You take the role of the booker by setting up shows, figuring out storylines, pushes, angles, and all of that. You do also get to sign the talent and may even be able to adjust the promotions product.
The games' default database is a fictional but deep world known as the "CornellVerse". Not just your standard fake world that just slightly renames reality, the CornellVerse has some deep backstories and histories to the promotions and the workers.
For those who prefer the real world, there are plenty of real world mods available. Both current and historical. The ability to add a mod and take over WCW in 1991 is a pretty cool feature.
There is a full demo of the game available on the Grey Dog Software website that allows you to play one month of the game.
If you're a wrestling fan and a gamer, you may want to check it out.
