Our patience and faith in Bungie was sort of rewarded today when the company closed its overnight countdown by releasing a reveal trailer for ... something. Honestly, it's going to take some digging from you fans before we have any idea what's going on here. There's a metropolitan disaster, there're pods dropping from the sky, the mention of Halo 3 and the tag line "Prepare to drop."

Xbox Live is reporting, "High action and deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience. Prepare to drop!" -- looks like that mystery is solved. Additionally, Joystiq tipster Kyle C has found a date hidden in the teaser for Tuesday January 6, 2009 – see the photographic evidence after the break.
Hmmm... this might sound far-fetched but I remember all the commotion about a "Halo 3: Blue" or something a few months ago right when Bungie was going to first give out the information around E3 time I believe. This could possibly be what Halo 3: Blue is.
Personally I don't know and I don't mind waiting to find out because I will end up getting it anyways.

I really just wish it the end of Halo 3 being played out since seemingly like 90% of the pods explode in the video. the last scene is just one falling, but that would make next to 0 sense since Chief has no Drop pods in the ship.
ODST better be win <.<
