I used to run my ipod off my parents PC, transferring songs and the like. Its registered there. Since, i got it, Ive moved out, got a laptop, got Itunes on my laptop but it wont let me do anything to my Ipod on it. It recognises it, and brings up all my playlists but I cant delete songs or put any more on it. I have to go back to my parents house to do that. This is getting to be a pain.
I dont know if this problem is common knowledge, or if there is a simple solution, but either way, share your wisdom with me please.

I know iTunes has a limit of five registered computers per iPod. Have you by any chance connected your iPod to other computers to use them up?
If you have, you will have to go to one of those computers, connect your iPod & deauthorize it. Choose Store > Deauthorize Computer. Without being able to connect my iPod (Still waterlogged To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) thats the most i can help you with.

I believe if you don't have the songs actually on your laptop then you won't be able to delete them unless you find the folder on your hard drive under my computer and delete them manually.

I to had this problem, try moving your iTunes from your parents PC to a memory stick, transfering it to your own PC a viola, you still have your iTunes, but it's now on 2 PC's so you can update anywhere, well, thats what worked for me anyhow.
Hope it works To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
