WC Madden 09 League Rules

Here are the basic rules/information for the league. I wont try to rule the hell out of this, just try to give a bit of info.

1) 5 minute quarters, random weather so be prepared, injuries and fatigue on.
2) Trades are allowed but it’s 1 for 1, meaning no multi team/player trades.
3) A total of 13 games will be played by each person, once against each player. There will be playoffs at the end, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s going to be 4 teams or 8. You’ll know once we get there.
4) The dreaded “4th Down” rule. This probably wont make everyone happy, but it’ll appease many. Above all use common sense here, unless you’re the Patriots, you don’t go for it on 4th and 10 when you are up by a score.
a. Please announce if you are going for it on 4th. Fake punts are a bit different but don’t use those more then once a game, it falls into the d00 d00 category anyways. IF you have no mic, you must give the opponent a little extra time to audible into coverage for it. Use common sense, this is a SIM league afterall, play like a real NFL team would play.
b. You may go for it on 4th down in the following situations: on 4th and 1 if you are up by 2 TD’s or less or are behind and within 30 yards of your opponents end zone, at any point in the game if you are drastically behind i.e. 3 td’s or more regardless of field position, in the 4th quarter at any time if you are down at all.
c. Same rules apply to extra point/2 point conversion. Call it out or allow for an audible.
d. Any violation of the 4th Down Rule more then once in a game will result in an automatic loss that I will issue post-game.
5) If anyone is having problems getting into the league, you must go to the “Online Leagues, Join League” portion of your Madden menus. Search for WC Madden League I or use the abbreviation WCML and leave all the options to any. Select your team and enter the password: dubc .

So for the 1-for-1 trades, do they only hold true for that one game, or does the trade carry over for the rest of the games?

Trade carries over for the entire length of League I.

So is that something that EA implemented or is that an option that you picked, the one-on-one trades that is?

Because if that's EA implemented, they can kiss my sac because that's unrealistic botchery. If that's an option you picked, then its ok because it keeps the league grounded.

That's some gay shit right thur. It would have been really hard for EA to allow multi-team and multi-player trades, or even free agency or drafts.
