Why PS3 is winning

Honestly, how can a company know what the technology curve is gong to be like in 10 years? They are building on what they assume will be a relevant system for a 10 year span. Truth is with the growing tech like it is right now Microsoft, hell Nintendo could come out with something a couple years from now that would completely blow the PS3 out of the water. And there is nothing to say that the leap will or won't be as to a leap as big as say a Nintendo to Nintendo 64. I think in the long run, Sony's cockiness has hurt them this gen and putting their eggs all in the PS3 basket will hurt them even worse when Nintendo and Microsoft bring out their next systems. Of course they could go back on their words and release a system in sync with their competitors... and how ripped off would people feel then when they realized they invested into a "10 year system" under a false assumption?

But what does 360 have that's exclusive? Gears of War was nice.. if you enjoy 10 hours of gameplay.. Halo 3 was a piece of shit.. but then, I've thought that series was overrated from the start.. and uhh.. I guess Mass Effect was decent.. but c'mon.. what is there really to play on 360 that I can't on a PS3? This is coming from someone who bought the 360 first.. Plus, xbox systems drop like flies.. they don't have the BluRay...

Someone help me here because I must be lost..

Outside of MGS, what PS3 games are there to jizz over? Every PS3 game I've played didn't strike me as amazing the same way Gears or Bioshock did. Hell, even games like Dead Rising were more impressive to me than some of the PS3 games Ive played.



When it comes down to it, both are exactly the same. Outside of the hardcore gamer fans, no one cares about the tecnical differences (zomg 0.2 better graffics!). They are both, in escence, machines you buy to play games on. They both do alot of pther cool shit, most of which you can do on both with tiny differences, but to everyday people they are both games consoles that do the exact same thing. Only difference is one will rape your wallet into the ground. I really see no reason to pick a PS3 over a 360 when they do the same thing basically...

lol..right.. but I also like the BluRay technology and PS3 just so happens to have the best BluRay player one can buy.. those plays can go for $300+ as stand alone players so again.. I'm failing to see why 360 is better. If you want to say "they're the same" then I won't argue.. They do have 90% of the exact same games lol.. but they do have differences and I don't think 360's differences are "better"...

By the way, BioShock is also on the PS3.
