| Re: )85( Buck Wild. No relations to Van Wilder. <.< That was my first GMmode game. I started a new one with the Bucks. <.< I only started the Timberwolves(nonfantasy draft) just to try and get Carter for a new start again. i couldn't get Carter with Drfat picks or trades. i didn't have any one i liked on there. I started the Bucks with a fantasy draft and been playing that ever since. i simulated most of the Timberwolves games. i think i only played about 5 games 4-11 i think and just quit. i stil have to delete that saved game though. <.< | |||||||||||||||

| Re: )85( Buck Wild. No relations to Van Wilder. <.< Trying to start a winning streak after a three game losing streak on the road with heart breaking results. The first game had Rudy Gay catch the ball near the sideline with Trevor Ariza all in his face down two points with about 3 seconds on the game clock and sank the three to put the clippers up by one point. The bucks called a time out with less then one second for a half court inbounds play which ended in a Bucks, 112-113 loss. Heading over to Golden state coach Grant Stewart along with assistant head coach Buddy Gray gave a speech about playing defense and talked about communicating on the defensive end. It would seem that the players put their coaches voice on mute or they weren't prepared enough because the Bucks allowed the Warriors to score 36 points in the first quarter alone. Even though they kept up with the warriors for the rest of the game, they couldn't claw back from the 13 point deficit. While the main ball handlers were able to dish out 8(Carter) and 10(Duhon/Telfair) assists. The offense wasn't able to do much more then fill up the failed attempted field goal stat. The center of the offense Vince Carter went 8-23 while 4 players from Golden State were able to get at least two blocked shots for a total of 11 for the warriors. Two days later the bucks met with the Seattle Supersonics and was also Shane Battiers first game back from a knee injury. The Bucks seemed to have their mojo back allowing the Sonics to score a total 11 points in the second quarter with a 38-47 lead. As the second half of the game began the Bucks seemed sure of themselves to keep the momentum on their side. They might of seemed a little too sure or Dr. Evil had stolen the mojo and the leading score from the Bucks. Once the third quarter buzzer sounded the Sonics had scored 32 points and leading by three points. The Sonics kept the momentum going scoring 37 points. the Final score 107-88. Lamar Odom 1 rebound shy of a triple double scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 block and 5 turnovers. While it can be said that Vince Carter has a successful shooting night, the same can't be said about his teammates. Nick Collinson went 4-11, Dantay Jones 4-10, and Chris Duhon went 2-17. The Bucks decided to slow the tempo down and going over offensive plays, half court sets instead of the full court press from buzzer to buzzer. Here is what Grant Stewart had to say about his defensive philosophy after a victory over the Portland Trailblazers. "I always want to put a lot of defensive pressure on the others teams point guard for more turnovers. It seemed to do the trick thus far this season. Up to this point we thought the full court press was doing us a big favor. But in reality, it gave us a lot of confusion when we didn't have a chance to set up. We were all running at full speed sometimes with our heads cut off with little communication. After the four game losing streak we all decided to start of with the half court press instead. It allowed us to set up before the storm hit us unprepared. Gave our starters some rest and got us a three point lead allowing the Kings to score 16 points in the first quarter. It's a high point this season with the likes of Jason Richardson and Chauncey Billups on the same team. Richardson went 9-20 while Billups 3-10 with a total of 7 points." The bucks went on and ended the 4 game losing streak with a 98-86 victory. They carried that confidence to Sacramento with a 106-87 victory. Ray Allen went 9-21 while only one other double digit scorer in Devin Harris who had 14 points shooting 4-13. The Bucks gained a win and also lost one key bench player for an estimated 5 week return with a broken ankle. 4 minutes off the bench, Trevor Ariza drove to the bucket and landed awkwardly on his left foot. Ariza this season has averaged 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 1 steal per game. While he may be coming off the bench, he's the Bucks fifth leading scorer. We asked a few of his team mates about his injury. Sebastian Telfair-It'll be tough because myself and Trev thought of ourselves as Magic Johnson and Bryan Scott. A few of his future poster deals will be missing because of this injury. Vince Carter-Yeah. His presence in the fast break scheme of our second unit will be missed. Sebastian, Trev, Dahntey are very close on the floor. Heh heh. The tag team and their manager have been stripped of the tag team dunk titles for awhile. Myself and the fans get a treat when they get the fast break going. Ben Wallace-They add alot of energy off the bench. Coach gave them the Bramuta Triangle nickname because they run so much taking more energy from the other team. They work hard on defense just to start the fast break every game and it shows. Both Dahntay and Ariza are averaging 9 points each while Telfair is averaging 9 assists off the bench. Heading back to Milwaukee after four games on the road the Bucks wanted to keep the winning streak going facing Kevin Garnett and Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic. It was a fast paced game game from the start while the Bucks seemed out of sync allowing the Magic to score 68 points in the first half while scoring 45 of their own. Neither Garnett or Lewis could be stopped while the Bucks had trouble finding an answer with Carter only scoring 7 points. The bucks fought hard to get back into the game in the third quarter scoring 47 to bring the score within three, 99-96. While the Bucks were able to keep the momentum going, the Magic had an answer to what ever the Bucks had to offer. The final score 139-125. Even though Rashard Lewis went 18-36, he still managed to score 42 points. His partner in crime Kg, 20-29 scoring 49 points willing himself with hook shot, dunks, and 15 footers adding 10 rebounds and two blocks in his superman performance. Carter(27), Garbajosa(22), and Wallace(20) all managed to score over twenty points but all that didn't matter in this tough loss. Duhon dished out 12 assists adding eight points while Telfair added 16 assists for the team shooting 0-2 while and getting 2 steals. Both Duhon and Telfair had a combined total of 4 turnovers. 20 combined assists with 4 turnovers would have any parent proud on any other day. Rashard Lewis was only one 1 assist shy of a triple double. The next day, Allen Ray the third sting two guard was traded to the Knicks for Donta Smith who played his first game of the season in Boston. The Bucks looking to redeem themselves after their fight with Superman and the Hulk with a win in the Garden facing Chris Paul, Zack Randolph, and Andrew Bogot. The Bucks with a mind set to play defense and managed to do so with a total of 12 blocks and 6 steals. Donta Smith's debut game for the Bucks and the Season got 26 minutes off the bench, 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. A fairly average paced game with a few highlight moments and the Bucks adding a win, 102-96. Tomorrow the Bucks face Gilbert Arenas, Michael Redd and the Minnesota Timberwolves | |||||||||||||||
