[Slimdust]

Im always going to gamespot or another game url looking for some reviews on games im thinking about getting, so I thought we should have a thread hear, that way we can hear it from people we sort of know and get a better feel if we should waste our time on a game or not.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Let me start of by saying the graphics in this game were spectacular. There were times in the game I would just look around and enjoy the view! If you enjoy third person shooters then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't enjoy this game. The story was great, for me I actually wanted to know what was going to happen. The movie cut scenes were entertaining. I liked the small puzzles they had at times, and the gun play was the best I have played. Like Gears of Wars, you press a button and you hide behind a wall and shoot when you wanna. I simply do not have anything bad to say about the game.

I give this game 4 ½ stars. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the lack of no online and the story was a little short, but thats prolly only because I didn't want it to end.


MLB 08 The Show

This is another game where you look at the graphics and are like wow. If your into baseball games this is the game to get. Im still messing around with this one, so I can't give much of a review, but I do enjoy it so far.

I give it 4 Stars.

I am currently playing Turok for ps3, I will give that a review when I am done with it.

Warhawk:

Great third person shooter, you have ranks, long matches, and is just plain fun to play. downfalls, only 7 maps and you have to buy 2 of them, and no single player story mode, HOWEVER. it does come with a bluetooth headset that works for every other online game. i can not sum up it's greatness into words

COD4:

amazing, haven't played story mode yet but we can let duke cover that one. Even if you don't like first person shooters, you need to get this game, i was thinking the same thing "i hate FPS this is gon suck" but when u get it, it's simply amazing, i don't even know how many maps there are, but theres alot, you rank up, you can create a class, you have so many different options, controls ar nice.. i <3 it

i've barely played the story to COD4 cuz the online is so damn fun but the story mode so far has been pretty sweet.

also, you might wanna say what system u are reviewing the game for cuz like when u say the controls are great for the ps3 they might suck for 360 or vice versa

RESIDENT EVIL 4: WII EDTION(Wii obviously)

absolutely fantastic. great graphics, great story, great controlls. I have bought this game for every system it has been on besides PC if its even out for that. I originally had it for Gamecube but sold my Gamecube and then it came out for PS2 with new features so i rebought it for that. I sold my ps2 and all the games and now I have a PS3 and a Wii and actually got the game for the Wii free and its by far the best version. It has all the extras of the PS2 version but the controls are just great with the aiming and such. A definate MUST OWN. I can't wait for Resident Evil 5.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles(WII)

If you own the Wii Zapper then u should definately buy this game. its goes thru the games Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 3. i'm guessing they left out 2 and 4 because they aren't really about Umbrella all that much. its a very fun arcade style shooter and its a blast to play with 2 players. the graphics are good and theres a ton of stuff to unlock.

THE ORANGE BOX(PS3)

hmmm where to start on this one. I absolutely fuckin' love this game. it's a boxed set with 5 AMAZING games on one disk. I've been a fan of the Half-Life series since the first one so of course I was going to pick this game up. it has Half-life 2 plus its 2 expansions(Half-life 2:Episode 1 and 2), Portal, a first person puzzle solving game that is actually quite hilarious, and last but not least Team Fortress 2. TF2 is the online portion of the game that is very fun to play. You have like 9 differnt classes each with their own guns and special abilities. Quit reading this and go buy this fucking game.

MLB 2k8 (PS2)

I haven't been paying attention to baseball video games lately, and boy did I pick the wrong game. The gameplay is indepth, and the stats are crazy, but the graphics are so bad it's not even funny. The players dont look like the players at all. The gameplay has been ok though so far.

I give it a 3/5.

I am not done with Turok, for the ps3, but I just want to say that I am totally addicted to the game. I don't want to put the game down. I have heard some bad reviews on this game but I dig it. The online does suck though.
