Two titles no longer in the launch window for Sony's European console release, also delayed in US.
Koei has announced that Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War have been delayed until summer to "ensure the highest levels of quality possible." The two games were originally slated to be released in Europe in March and April in the US.
Fatal Inertia is the debut title for the Toronto-based studio Koei Canada, which is led by Takazumi Tomoike, creator of the Dynasty Wars series, and Koei cofounder and chief advisor Yoichi Erikawa. It is a futuristic combat racing game, featuring a new physics engine and a variety of futuristic vehicles to fly. Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War is set in Medieval Europe, with players assuming the role of a mercenary leader commanding troops in real time.
Both titles were first intended to be PlayStation 3 exclusives, but were recently announced as coming to Microsoft's Xbox 360 as well. A spokesperson for Koei said, "The development cycles have been extended simply because of all the things the developers want to do with the new hardware."
