Even though it sounds trivial, the Forecast Channel's actually kinda cool. You enter your location and voila, the Wii displays current conditions, a forecast for tomorrow and the temperatures for the area. If you zoom out of the NASA-powered map, you can scope out the entire globe and see how much warmer it is in... hell it's cold everywhere right now.
Also today, Nintendo and Opera have dated the internet browser for Wii - December 22. The Opera browser will be a free download until June 2007, at which time it'll cost you five bucks in Wii money. Next up is the News Channel, which will go live in January. |
Even though Forecast on a gaming system is kinda weird, it's something I could use for work. Sometimes we work on the road and I could check out the tomorrow forecast to see if I need to call in sick or not. lol
I better buy my Wii soon before I'll have to pay for the browser.
