Out of all the companies supporting Nintendo during the Wii launch, Ubisoft is easily in front based on pure product numbers. The company has filled the shelves with the likes of Red Steel, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and a number of other titles this holiday season, and while the quality hasn't been stellar across the board (see our Far Cry review), the support is definitely felt, and it's appreciated nonetheless. Nintendo and Ubisoft seem to be getting along just fine thus far, and from the sound of it there's much more to come.
IGN previously confirmed that the Prince of Persia franchise was on the way to Wii. Today, Ubisoft has made an official announcement on the Wii version, named Prince of Persia: Rival Swords. On the plus side, this means more support for Nintendo in the early months of next year, with Rival Swords hitting shelves sometime in March.
Now with "Tear-Head-Off" action.
On a bit of a lesser note, Rival Swords could be shaping up to be more of a Wii-make than fans were hoping for. Ubisoft had the following to say about the game in today's announcement:
"Based on last year's highly successful Prince of Persia The Two Thrones(TM), the game takes advantage of the revolutionary Wii Remote(TM) and Nunchuk(TM). Players will be able to clash swords with enemies, execute speed kills and perform the Prince's well-known acrobatic moves such as running on walls. Prince of Persia Rival Swords creates an epic experience by combining two playable characters in a masterly balanced gameplay, with the perfect mix of combat, platforming, puzzles and a compelling storyline."
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords also makes use of the same overarching storyline as The Two Thrones, following the prince on his way back to Babylon with Kaileena, the Empress of Time. Upon arriving he finds his village under fierce attack, and through a series of unfortunate events the Sands of Time are again unleashed, this time bringing forth a new Dark Prince that begins eating at the hero from the inside.

I'm not sure but I think it is Wii-exclusive! Anyways, I'm really liking the support Wii is getting from Ubisoft. Hopefully Wii/Nintendo will get more 3rd Party support in the near future.
Re: Ubisoft Announces Prince Of Persia: Rival Swords
In my opinion, Ubisoft are in fact the best games developer [in the world] at the moment, so obviously, this is great news.
Producing games like Splinter Cell: DA, Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW, Prince of Persia.. I'm really glad that they've decided to back the Wii, in such a big way. It'll only take some time before they actually release something great for the Wii.. like they've done with the 360.
