Drop the appeal and we'll help with PS3 rumble - Immersion president

Sony has been offered help introducing "rumble" technology to its PlayStation 3 controller by a very unusual source - the president of the company that sued it for using the technology in the first place.
Speaking to Gamasutra, Immersion president Victor Viegas said he'd "offered them numerous solutions to the problem". "I don't believe it's a very difficult problem to solve, and Immersion has experts that would be happy to solve that problem for them."
For this to happen, however, Sony would have to drop its current appeal against the 2004 lawsuit that saw it told to pay approximately USD 90 million in damages to Immersion, which had alleged it made illegal use of its "haptic" (rumble) technologies.
not for notting but i cant picture playing without force feedback anymore. they should just pay up and drop the apeal cause they arguing about the amount not about loosing

oh god what a idiot the judge ruled in the companies favor sony is just delaying what is already gonna happen. they were ordser to cease production in any dual shock controller and pay 90 million to the company who made it. reason they delaying is simple they want to make the money on the ps2 to cover the lost of 90 million plus legal fees, they aredy accepted the loss but want to take their time paying it which is why they apealed the judges decision.
microsoft has to fork over like 30 million to them but after they did that they purchased about 60 percent of that companies shares so that basicly makes m$ part owner of the company which is why the 360 still has the rumble feature., but then again that how m$ does their biz, they get sued and end up buying the company that suing them.
