This scenario may become reality in the near future, if Stanford University scientists succeed in commercializing a breakthrough in the laboratory. Assistant Professor Yi Cui and associates at Stanford's Department of Materials Science and Engineering said they have developed a method to increase the life of rechargeable lithium ion batteries to a whopping 40 hours.

This would be SWEET. I will charge my laptop up all day, get home at night, bring it on the couch, and within like 2-3 hours top it will be dead. So annoying.

hell my battery used to last 4 hours. now it barely makes an hour. everytime i start my computer up it says something like "Your battery is recharging but is getting close to the end of its useable lifespan." i've had it prolly 2 years MAX. DUMB
