I googled what it said for the codec, found it, installed it & it did nothing.

It wont even play on VLC. I've tried converting it (With about six different programs

Try using Media Player Classic?

It uses different codes then the new MS version

Then you have your solution.

Downgrade your MS Media Player to the version previous to what you have.

I would suggest 9 or 10.

I tried to downgrade but i dont know to what number. Anyway it said it can only run on XP, i have Vista.

Hm....have you tried FLVPlayerforFree?

I use it now in place of windows media and it seems to accommodate all the codecs.

Otherwise I'm out of options dude unless the file you are playing is corrupt.
