Mozilla released Firefox 3 Beta 1 late last a week. After using it just today, I'm really not that impressed. While there's some minor feature improvements, it doesn't seem like it's nearly as big of a "leap" as there was with Firefox 1, to Firefox 2. It's also using the new Gecko 1.9 rendering engine, which in theory should be quicker, however I have not noticed any speed differences when it comes to the loading speed of web pages. I have noticed something with the speed; the loading time of the client. Dude, it's awful! Memory usage isn't any worse, but it definitely can be approved upon.
It is a beta, which means it's not a final product. I hope through the beta testing period, the developers are able to improve upon the product. If you'd like, you can download it at
