Before I post on how fuggin great this game is, Id first like to apologize to bot Mikk and ToL, who told me this game would own GH3, and I didnt agree.
Anyways, im not sure how many people play these besides me and the above mentioned Mikk and ToL, but RB is def the best rhythm game ever made: And keep in mind, I dont even have the drums yet, thats going to add another slice of awesomeness to this game once I get ahold of those!
REASONS ITS BETTER THAN GH
* Better Graphics: Obviously not the main thing we're looking for in these games but I enjoy RB's graphics/presentation alot more. GH looks very cartoonish, and while RB doesnt look ultra-realisitc, it offers better stage sets (and in BWT mode, theres tons of venues/sets) better on stage antics, and unlike in GH theres not the heavy empahisis on the guitarist. So if your watching someone else play, you wont just see you guitarist doing the same cutscenec over and over. You'll see the singer a bit more, and you'll see the drummer going crazy, and your bass player leaning over the singers shoulder to scream into the mic, and so on.
Another thing on the stage sets, is that on lots of them your bands name will appear in lights behind the stage. Awfully funny considering me and my gf's band name is "Twat" (Her choice, not mine).
*Better song list: I wont say GH3's list is bad, its just not as good after playing this. GH has guitar intensive songs, that always keep you busy the whoe song, even if it means sometimes your playing things that arent played on guitar (Ex, certain keyboard parts of "When you where young") But Wanted Dead or Alive, Say it Aint So, Green Grass and High Tides, Wont Get Fooled Again, Welcome Home, Foreplay/Long Time, Train Kept a' Rollin, Hand That Feeds, hell even the Fall Out Boy song Dead on Arrival are all highlights on this game.
THe only thing I like better about GH is the notes are O's insted of ='s. Having small rectangles makes the HO's/PO's harder to see, and is frustrating untill you get used to the song an figure out where they are.
The best part, is the BWT (Band World Tour) mode, which smokes the Coop mode from GH3. Heres what happens, you create a guy, from his look to his clothes, to his on stage persona (Punk, ROck, GOth, Metal, etc.) and than you pick a home city (Boston, is what we picked. You start in that city with only one club that your able to play at (Most cities have 2/3 small clubs, and one big arena) and once you pick a club, you have a list of gigs. Gigs include playing one out of a few select single songs (Which unless you go through the solo tour and unlock all the songs prior, you want to play these so you can unlock them, or else you play thje same songs over and over)
Other gigs include playing mystery sets, which pick 2-4 random songs for you to play, and create-a-sets, which are the same only you pick what songs to play. The total stars you get for your performances are totaled through out your career, and are a big factor in what you unlock, as well as how many fans you gain by playing well. Throughout the course of this you unlock new cities by beating special gigs like the one where you win yourself a tour bus, or roadies, etc. but there are well over 10 cities so far, and lots of different clubs and arenas. THe point of it all is to get to the hall of fame, and by the time you get there your playing 14 song sets and shit.
If anyone has any ???'s about anything regarding the game, I shall answer them.

So, my 360 died a while back, but I'm getting an Elite instead before XMAS, so obviously I'm gonna' want a new game by then, and your personally telling me to spend the extra bones for RB?
Cuz I'm down wit' that.[/I]

^^^Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. And make sure you at least have one friend whos ready to spend hours playing, because you need at least two for BWT mode, and its simply phenomanal.

So, I traded back my Rock band game (without the budle) to get the bundle with the drums, guitar, etc. Me, my gf, her frined and her husband were rocking out last ngiht. Good times. The drums are bad as fuck,(<--meaning they are good) and my guitar is problematic, but I can prob fix that myself. Abd the microphone (although I will never use it) works fine, as thats what this girl used last night.

Sir, you just sold me on this.
The fact that you can create your own character I think makes all the difference and it is retarded that Guitar Hero 3 didn't have that feature.

It really is awesome when you have four people playing, and your hitting everything. Its quite a sense of accomplishment. plus, giving rounds of high fives after gaining new fans, and heckling those that get booed off stage whil you are kicking ass = good times.

I just got my Elite baCK this week, but it's at my home so I can't play it until I get home in three weeks .. this game will be my prized procession for the term ahead.

I have been hearing about the guitar having problems and i know they will be replacing those having problems.
Oh, i have a question, i saw a video on IGN of Timmy & The Lords Of The Underworld from South Park in the game, is this true?

Yes, my strat that came with the game is utter shit. Im going to have to send it in to ea. Make sure you have GH guitars to use. The mic and the drums are all good to go, however!
And yes, Timmy and the lords of the underworld is on the game as a bonus song. Its funny at first, although its a pain in the ass to play.
