I cannot be the only one who doesn't buy into the iPod hype. I cannot see spending all that money on a litte tiny thing that if I drop it once or twice it's gone.. all that money down the toilet. So, I buy knock offs, normally refurbs from Woot.
Currently I have 4GB Insignia that plays music & video. It's nice I have about 500 songs on it and some videos. For $60 I cannot go wrong
I've previous had 2 RCA MP3 players by I dropped them or otherwise broke them. At $30 a piece it wasn't a big deal that I broke 'em.
Do you fork over the dough for "the real thing" or satisfied with a knock-off?

iPod everytime. I don't like to settle for cheap immitations. I've had mine for about 3 years now, and it's been worth every penny. I really don't mind shelling out extra money, for something I know will be of high quality.
I use a 30-GB video i-Pod. I love it. Lots of storage space I have yet to even make a dent in, but will as soon as I start downloading some movies to it.
Are you not allowed to have one on whilst your driving?
Yea we're not supposed to. But I usually work late and there are really no supervisors around so everyone does it anyways lol, i don't cuz i don't have one.
I'd rather pay more for a quality product, then pay a little bit many times over for crap. I just bought an Ipod classic about a month ago. It's an 80gb. I'm in the process of downloading all my cd's.
I've had an iPod for ages now and i can still remember my hunt to get my hands on one but when i got it i was astounded with how much i could store on it and also the quality of the sound it produced.
I've just currently upgraded to a 30gb iPod video and although i don't have a many videos on it, i like the other things it can do.
For a start i have a transmitter for the car and i love it for long journeys, i can also plug it into my 360 and play my music when i'm playing my games.
I don't know how many other mp3 players do that but i now wouldn't have anything else.
