what are they? prime defence? attacking offence? 3 point rangers? poster boy dunkers?
On NBA Live i usually try to get all of defensive guys. Bowen, Hassel, Ratliff are usually on my team after trades or fantasy drafts. offence i could care less because I'm always trying to stop the other team from reaching 100+ points. I've done it a few times but the score always ends up being over 100 what ever team I'm on.
a lot of times on NBA live I'm playing half court trap. weather i have a fast backcourt or not. the other def's i use are the 3/4 court press and full court man to man.
i tend to become the GM of some under 500 teams because i get small minded and use the superstars and forgetting that the role player that can score at. two years ago i was the GM of the Timberwolves with KG, Sprewell, and Cassel and i rarely ever let any other play score unless it was a fast break. i drove the ball in with Sprewell and Cassel, while KG posted up and rarely shot the ball, it was a post up shot, or get points off rebounds.
i quit shortly after because i wanted to control other players that i was comfortable with. and didn't have a big name. over the years my favorite team to play was the Clippers(love the memphis old school jerseys), Toronto(Carter played there. nuff said), Memphis(Shane Battier and Gasol), LA Lakers(Kobe, Walton(Arizona...

now on to Madden.
I've always tried to bring Detroit up as best i could. i always need a QB who could run because I'm hardly ever in side the pocket. and I'm the interceptions king of that game. i traded for Quincy Carter because he had some speed. one time i even substituted a RB for a QB so i can run a few times. I had Chris Sims a few times and in 2002 or 2004 game, i had Cordell Stuart with the Det. i trade for the best O line i can find. my TE's i trade for are usually blocking. my FB is a blocker, my RB fast. my QB fast. it's rare that i play a powerhouse style.
my main goal for Madden is Def , because i can't play offence to save my life 3/4 time in the game. i don't jump in the air when i score a touchdown but it doesnt stand out in my mind that i actually scored one. most of my points come from fumbles, interceptions, or FG's.
Pass rushing the QB with De's or the Cb's is my main Def. a few weeks ago was doing pretty good until midway through the 2 QT rolled by. i was playing the Pat's while i controlled DET. i had it in my mind i was going gto finish the game on All Madden but i quit with the score, 34-10. in a span of 9 minutes, my hopes for winning was crushed.
i can hold the ball longer then the computer but i can't never score. that's my achilles heel. offence. the closer i get to the goal...i get confused on what calls to play and i rush everything. i pass it too fast, i get sacked, they stop my run. I'm always afraid I'll throw an INT the longer I'm in the red zone. i pump my fist when i score TD with a pass play because it's like Christmas, it's only comes around once a year. it's that rare.
My def is 4-3 old fire blitz. 3-4 the two LB blitz, and on Dime, my two inside corners blitz. i switch it up time to time to give my def rest. but mainly it's the 4-3 def. get two strong DT's and pass rushing De's. that's when I'm in franchise mode. but I'll use any DE to sack the QB. after awhile though. they computer starts completing middle passes so i control the middle LB or the FS or SS in a zone blitz. it's works sometimes.
by half time my team has 4-6 sacks and i have 4-5 INT's. the score 27-13 give or take and I'm losing.
i don't need to post my NCAA march madness....you should know by now.
