These are going to be annual through request of Sufjan, so, week one, new Super Mario Bros.

Mario revoloutionised gaming. No doubt from a real gamer, and continues to today, but does his latest outing conquer the platforming world and get him back his throne?

Well, it certainly hits the old school, being old school myself, I must say, it still has a lot of the old elements that made it great, yet new ones to, like the mini mushroom, Giant mushroom, Blue shell, ground pound and more.

The graphics are smooth for the DS, especially considering the size of the cart, and the sound chimes Mario old school, and gameplay is really well done.

It oozes old school and players of the Snes will be excited and inspired all way through.

Although it is a relitively short game, it has tremendous replay value, mini games and you can play as Luigi!

Overall it is a real old school classic that oozes new school charm, any player, old or new, will be thrilled with the game and it really brings a very needed kick up the arse the platforming.

Football Manager 2006 (PC)

Championship Manager was the number 1 football managerial game out there. I mean, it had it's challengers, LMA Manager, was probably the most well known one, but anyway, thats for another day.

This game is really a battle of wits between the people who made Championship Manager, because they all fell out, half went and made this, and half went and made another Championship manager.

The game itself is more like Championship manager 4 than the new Championship Manager.

It oozes football magic, and basically is like managing a team, because if you get one thing wrong, you can get beaten.

The graphics are smooth, even though it doesn't have anything to actually show that would blow you away and game play is smooth, although jumpy at times if your computer is slow.

The tactical element of the game is something wonderful to behold, you can't have the perfect team and always strive to perfect it. Starting with a lower league team is more of a challenge and your rivals always seem to have more money, but when you get promoted, it is so sweet!

Overall the game shows true tactical grit and a fun new way to manage, although it can get repetitive.

This review is one of the more interesting reviews I have read. Usually when I read a review from a website, it is all formal and stating how you should buy the game for the price listed because it is amazing. You on the other had have gone into detail of how situations and stuff like that, which is something I like. I woudl rather buy this game, then a Halo game IF I would have JUST read the reviews because yours is more colorful then others.

Well, Today, I am going old school, with...

Pokemon Gold (Gameboy Colour)

I know what your all thinking, Pokemon is for kids, it's gay, I won't read on...well, you should do the opposite and read on.

Pokemon is maybe the biggest genre of games to ever come out of Nintendo, and is a true testement to gaming and a massively enjoyable RPG adventure.

Sure it has it's weaknesses, it's old, it's on the GBC and it's pokemon, the kiddiest craze ever. But did it ever stop it...no it didn't.

This game oozes RPG goodness and is propabaly the best of the Pokemon series, including the games after it.

Graphically it is not the most empowering, and sure, you can't play it on your Nintendo DS, but getting the old GBA out for a run isn't the worst thing in the world.

The music is sweet and funky, and a really unsung part of the game, and the replay value is out of this world, I mean, experimenting with different teams, completing the game with all 3 starter Pokemon, catching all Pokemon, Training them all to Level 100, there are endless things to do.

The storyline is great and never really paves off like some games and never really gets boring, it makes you want to play and see what happens next.

The game is a very long one for a handheld,. taking peobably 20 + Hours to just do the main game, not including catching all Pokemon etc.

Overall a joy to play and a gem of an adcenture, this really gives nothing to be desired from it, pure RPG goodness.

Well Dave what i like about this review is you went old school and reviewed a game that is years old. it was a brilliant review to read. you gave your honest opionion and there were no spelling mistakes, also like electro said you have gone in details about situations and stuff like that and also how long it takes to compelete. anyways it was a excellent review 2 read.
