share any game stories you have, how you started really getting into games(not juts for half an hour then go watch TV) but really started to get into gaming. Kind of like a Campfire cookout for the guys(or girls who play video games)
Personally, it was when i got my Dreamcast for my Birthday in December 99. i stayed up playing that game and didn't even sleep for school while creating a team for NBA 2K. man, seeing my name on back of an NBA jersey had me hooked to that game. the first time though, it was on easy, which meant i never missed shot and all i did was dunk and got me 100% FG's every game. That game was all about bringing my Dreamcast to my cousins and we played that game like we did 007 Golden eye a few years before he sold his N64. We created teams and i got so good at beating him, i used old players such as Hakeem Olajuwon, etc. i created my high school basketball team. and they was about 50 to the lower 60 ratings. had a few of them dunking but on rare occasions. i would still beat my cousin. when i had 2K2 i was either the Celtics(Pierce and Walker, Eric Williams for the D) or the Raptors(Carter, no Contest) The Nets(Kidd Jefferson and Martin) Martin had 60 points one time when i played my cousin vs the Magic. i had Martin on McGrady the whole time and all i did was drive the lane with Kidd and pass the ball to Martin and at the Same time played D with Martin.
my dad got me and my cousin along with my dad to go to Fairbanks(where our village pretty much gets everything). My dad brought his PlayStation(i left mine at home) and i bought Driver(man i loved that game) i also bought 4x4 Evo and along with some other games but that game really stuck out. the only course i hated was one where it was raining and it was at some desert. and i could win that course in the daytime but i always got confused and i could never come close to beating that one. I had a dodge durango and a dodge(some truck. all black with fog light, hood lights, brush guards. fugging loved that game. during the free ride we played Tag with car and trucks that would last a few hours.
then when th ePs2 came out i had one during the summer i had my job as a firestation janitor( it was that or pick up trash for two weeks all over the village) i payed another guy $600 for 6 games one controller and a memory card. i had al sports games. i pretty much just played NBA live 2001 and Madden at his house. but it was a PS2 that's all that mattered. yeah, i brought my PS2 to my cousins house because my mom and him never got along. his house was a second home for me. i spent the night over his house almost half the school year. We played madden, NBA live, then we played NBA 2K2 on the dream cast, along with 4x4 Evo. i had a demo disk with Tony hawk. That and madden were the only games he could beat me on. then December came around my parents won a raffle with a satellite with one receiver.....that's when i really started to play video games because i could never watch TV. i went to visit a few other guys and watched Saturday night live at their houses and played video games at my cousins house everyday. it was either Video games in my room, school, basketball practice, my cousins house, and one other guy's house to play chess, burn Cd's, play more video games and watch TV.

I remember playing games since forever. I got into games when NES came out. I've been playing them ever since, well until I sold my PS2 and Xbox last year for the dough. I have had, NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Game boy, Lynx, and Game Gear.
I started with sega genesis lol don't remember how old I was probably when i was 9 or so I'm guessing.. My parents got it for me for christmas and I was hooked on that shit, it was all I ever played, probably beat sonic like 50 times. Used to play the Wrestlemania game they got me to forever.

My first gaming experience was when I got a NES for Christmas one year. The games we had were Super Mario/Duck Hunt and Tetris. I remember waking up for school in the morning, and taped to the tv was a note from my dad which listed his new high score in Tetris. I thought he was a god at that game because I couldn't get a score close to his. Anyway, soon enough we got a Sega Genesis where I'd spend many afternoons playing Sonic the Hedgehog and the like.

game gear was from Sony right? that big hand held that was on Surf Ninjas. Right? haha reminds me, Mario cart, endless hours, then it was on the 64. Can't forget Paper boy.

Had that too, sonic and F16 were the only games i ever had for it though.

From there, the rest is history.
Duck hunt forgot all about that game there was an old western shoot out game you can use the same duck hunt gun for, that was a lot of fun. my grandparents got me an Olympics game along with that 5x5 feet(or what ever) pad you can use your feet to run on. didn't last long though....i had it for two weeks. they were always watching TV during the day and when everyone was asleep i would use that and they wake up and tell me to turn it off. they got so pissed off from me stomping on the pad they threw it away.
---------------
The N64. 007 was the game myself, my cousin Edward and his friend John would stay up all morning and sometimes the 64 was on for 20 hours. they would double team me and i could never get a shot off, i always used the side yellow buttons along with walking dyganly. and run around in circles till they either shot me or i try my best to shot them while running in a circle. The magnum, Shotgun, and the ACS(or something like that-Sunmachine gun) were my weapon of choice. The complex was my favorite stages. Sometimes the temple. the proximity mines was a deadly game when they were the main weapons. throwing them everywhere on the ground, the walls, boxes, guns, tables. life expectancy-50 seconds.
then there was Star fox....loved that game too. barrel rolls, explosive blasts, etc.
there was a game where you can get a car and hit jumps and spin in the air for a couple of seconds and get points.
NBA hangtime, haha. "Why?! " "Big country for a dunk" then the screen would freeze once the time was over. creating 8 feet aliens, werewolves, 3 foot shooters, dunkers, blockers. getting pushed and not getting called for it. man those were the days.
