Re: AVI files to play on standard DVD player

You can pretty much get a basic converter to do it.

I use Allok AVI DivX MPEG to DVD Converter

all the time and it was easy as pie.

Yes, you have to pay for anything good.

Just about any decent laptop with Windows Media Player 10 or better will play these AVI files with ease.

Re: AVI files to play on standard DVD player

Danny, do you have a program that will convert .vob files to .avi or .mpeg... or some common format?

I rip every movie I get from NetFlix, but the fuckers are starting to kill all my drive space as I can't figure out how to convert them.

Re: AVI files to play on standard DVD player

VSO ConvertXtoDVD works extremely well on files like this, it's what I use for theather bootlegs that I watch at home. Just torrent it, don't pay for jack.

Re: AVI files to play on standard DVD player

there's always the Xbox 360 solution, switch the file type on Xbox for Windows media, convert the files to Windows media(MS wav2 avi). put the file in Windows movie maker and save it to your computer(Large Screen or Small Screen, your choice), right click the file>send to>(D) depending on the size the CD can hold cut down the scenes and make two CD's if needed. the 8MG CD's can hold about 7 Dragonball z episodes.
