Newport Beach, California company Parallel Processing Corporation have filed a lawsuit against the electronics giant for the Cell's ability to perform "synchronized parallel processing with shared memory" - a patent that the International Parallel Machines of New Bedford, Massachusetts got the rights to in 1991, in which the Parallel Processing Corporation says its "exclusive licensee."
The complaint filed in Texas on July 26 claims that Sony infringes on this patent, while it doesn't specify exactly how, it states that the company is being monetary damaged. The company is seeking to recover these said damages, fees plus interest, and the impounding and destruction of all Sony products that infringe on this patent. Ultimately stating, people must destroy their PS3s.
We contacted Sony, and our representative stated that they don't comment on pending litigation.

Can't really say I'm suprised. Same thing was done with the company who had the patent on rumble technology... and once again i can see Sony taking to court and losing and basically getting into even more trouble financially. The smart thing to do would be settle outside of court, which historically they never do.
