Another pathetic next gen graphical offering from the 2K Sports lineup. I lost all interest in this game when I found out it was going to be more like Blitz arcade garbage football and doesn't offer stuff like a franchise mode.

Are you serious? Look at the Unitas picture with your glasses on dude you can see the fibers in his jersey. The fact that most of the pics are Beta Build and from IGN (they suck hardcore with there pictures) don't help it all. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. compair the two pictures and you can't honestly say that APF's graphics arn't better then the Muddy tones of Madden.
Where did you hear it was Arcadey though? 2k8 said the only thing Arcadey was some of the celebrations and the Arenas. The play on feild is going to be very sim and if I say so myself, Its looking alot better then madden even with out the Franchise mode.

Yes I am serious. They are still using PS2 hair, plastic players, the fans look awful and overall the bad outweighs the good. The last arena picture is the closest to what it will actually look like during play and if I didn't know better I would say it was an Xbox picture. The only 2K Sports game that has been somewhat impressive to me graphically on next gen consoles was MLB 2K7 but even then it isn't great. They toss in a couple of small details Xbox might not have handled but wreck it by the majority of the game looking like it is from an Xbox game. And if a game is a month away from release anything you are seeing is a near final build. Hopefully they can at least get rid of the jaggie fest in a month but nothing major will change.
And the info I got was from the very first article about this game in Game Informer as far as I remember. In the interview they said they are going with a Blitz approach of stuff like 30 yard downs etc.

Thats not what I've heard from Greg Thomas's interviews whos usualy said the only thing arcadey would be the stadiums and everything else would be as sim as can be. I guess I'll find out when I rent it whats going on be like but I seriously doubt that a person whos involved with the game as much as they are would be bullshiting so early in production, there not EA you know?
The only thing I've found "wrong" with these pictures has been the crowd (which apparently is just place holders anyways) and some of the hair, which is a problem with most 2k games anyways, but seriously your going to have a helmet on 90% of the time. The Grass textures look find to me, maybe there not shiney enough for you?
I still don't believe you can honestly look at the Rice and Unitas picture and tell me that Current Gen Graphics, the Jerseys, Pants and skin are amazing.

It might not be as over the top but that part of the article is only saying it won't be over the top violence. Stuff like 30 yard downs is not real football to me. It is Blitz inspired garbage.
I can't believe you just said that plastic skin is amazing. The jersey is the only aspect of the game that looks decent but just like Madden it is only going to be noticeable when you totally zoom in using a replay mode. Everything else looks like crap. Last gen I would have had hope it would at least play good but ever since Sega were no longer involved with the 2K Sports games they turned into nothing but garbage. Especially their constant lackluster next gen attempts.
Last gen I was a huge 2K Sports fan but now EA, SCEA and Konami are making the best sports games.

I guess you can't change that, I won't agree that EA makes any sports game better then what 2k makes besides Baseball. Even EA graphics are still miles behind 2k Sports, If you want plastic you should take a look at the Madden 07 Balco Enhanced players, or Fifa 07's plastic men, not to mention NBA Lives 07.. I still don't know where the heck your hearing this 30 yard down rule, If you go to youtube and search All Pro Football every video interview with Jerry Rice or Greg Thomas say this is a football game to its core.
