Stuck on Gears.......

i'm stuck on the trian when i have to face the boss and get some kind of unit to somewhere? my partner keeps getting hit by the birds or the macette gun. i can stay alive for awhile untim my partner reaches the other side but then it happenes....i'm in the light the machine gun hits me non stop.... what the hell am i pose to do? i got the bow and the chainsaw gun with me at the time. the game can't go on with out me, leave some water, some ammo, some chips if you have some. i'll be good. because ain't no valley low, ain't no mountain high enough....i know this little engine can get through this but i just havn't found the insparation or knowlege.

Well I played it with two people but it's probably done the same way. You need to make sure your in the light then when he sends out the birds you either sniper or bow him in the face (quick reload helps alot here) usually he'll close in on you and you have to sprint down to the other end while staying in the light, pretty much just hit him as much as u can while the birds aren't all over him.

Here's how I beat him,

Get the sniper and get ridof the Bow because its worthless here.

Couple of rules to beat boss

1.) Every time the birds leave him, go for a headshot with the sniper, stay behind the first cover you get to.
2.) When he towers over you equip the machine gun and go to the opposite site of where he is standing and just fill him with lead. So if you are on the right behind cover and he approaches the right, go to the left of the box you're covering behind and put a clip in him, when the birds leave hi, pop him a sniper head shot and run to the other side as fast as poss.
3.) Repeat this 3 times and he dies and you win.

That boss is a real bitch.

thanks for the hlep....i don't know how i missed the sniper. i played it on easy or the what you ma call it first level. to be honest....the story line was short. i'll be playing it on the hardest level and starting from the starting. but the bow wasn't useless though. i helt the triger still in the crotch stance till the bow was at full strentgh then pressed the l button and then fired a shot off and the birds left him till i got a shot off with the sniper. all this was on easy though.

I beat him about an hour ago. I was playing with 2 people and I had the Lancer and Gnasher Shotgun. I shot him with the Lancer and got closer to him when his Kryll shield let up, and then the next time the Kryll left, my partner and I both frag-tagged him and that was the end of General RAAM.

Its easy as hell.
Right before you go and face general RAAM, there is a sniper rifle and ammo. Pick it up and run out side. When u get outside go to the nearest cover and wait for the kryll to attack and then keep shooting for his head. If your not a good shot then this will be kinda hard. I did it by myself after 3 tries. If he gets to close, jump over your cover and run to the other side, But stay out of the dark because the kryll will kill you 10 times faster than RAAM will.

i've gotten over it. i just havn't been able to beat him on Insane. i really don't play Gears anymore. i'll be getting Halo 3 and some other spots and more story line games. might even upgrade to an elite. i have the standard, stock car version of the Xbox.
