This is one of the best radar detectors on the market right now. This is the model that I own and I drive 80-90 MPH regularly and I am rarely pulled over. This has 360 degree coverage and detects most bands of radar including Ka, K, X, and laser. It can also block radar to an extent. It retails new for $299.95 but you can find a good used one cheaper than that. I think I gave around $200 for mine and it has all ready payed for itself many times over.
So if you are looking for a good radar detector I recomend the Escort Passport 8500 X50.

True. I drive around that and have yet to crash going that fast. I scan every like 2 seconds though cuz I'm used to it from driving the bus so I always am looking for idiots that are going to cut me off.

60 or 65 is fine, but I don't feel sorry for someone who is going 80-90 and gets in an accident.
The speed limit here in West Virginia on the Interstate is 70 MPH. Going 80 MPH is not that bad really. I really go about 80 most of the time. 85-90 MPH when I have to pass someone.
On 55 MPH roads I go about 70 MPH.
That is not really unreasonable.

I'm thinking about getting one of these soon. I'll keep this one in mind if I decide to get one.
There is also a new model out called the 9500i but it is about $100 more.
The 8500 is all you need though really.
