NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation 2 system, PSP system, and Nintendo’s Wii™. Manhunt 2 is the debut title from the newly formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. The Wii™ version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto. Manhunt 2 will be available this summer.
"With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds."

For those wondering, Rockstar Toronto developed the excellent The Warriors.
It's good news for Wii fans and those worried about Wii getting the same low level of "mature" games as GameCube. In the last month, a bunch of M rated games have been announced for Wii (even if they are ports):
The Godfather: Black Hand Edition
Scarface: The World is Yours
Driver: Parallel Lines
Manhunt 2
Even though the first game sold well more because of its shockingly high level of violence, it did introduce a great stealth system (even better than the Splinter Cell games). If they can improve the game quality over the first one, it will be a serious consideration by me.

Haha, when is the last time you said anything positive about the Wii?
It doesn't matter to me, Wii is dominating. They are outselling PS3 3-1 in Japan every week (and overall have a 2-1 lead overthem since launch) and worldwide have already sold about half of the Xbox 360's total (despite being out for 3 months, compared to 15 for Xbox 360).
Well Wario Ware was good even if it is the worst Wario Ware game. Is that positive enough? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

But in this case it isn't all Wii hate. I hate Rockstar more than I hate the Wii. Only sign of hope they have shown was Table Tennis. If they released something like that for Wii I might be a little less negative. But 99% of the Wii games are crap like this which is why I am so negative toward it.

GC started off strong as well and in the end sold pathetically bad while Xbox sales started off pathetically bad and sold well in the end so early sales are nothing to get excited about. Another example would be that in multiple countries PSP actually had far better initial sales than DS but look how that turned out. It is a year from now when we will see the real sales that matter. And 360 sold more than Wii in November and December so while Wii has more limited stock I still wouldn't say it is exactly doing better than Wii.
I actually see this gen going pretty much exactly how the last gen went except Microsoft and Sony switched spots. Might change a little though with Sony finishing first again and not Microsoft since Japan is a big thorn in the Microsoft sales. But still this is what I see happening and what happened with the last gen consoles.
PS2: Year head start, sold well at launch and continued to sell well post launch.
Xbox: Started off with awful sales but in the end picked up and sold well.
GC: Started off with strong sales but died off and in the end sold awful.
---------
360: Year head start, sold well at launch and has continued to sell well post launch.
PS3: Has started off with awful sales but I think it will pick up and sell well.
Wii: Has started off with strong sales but I think it will die off and sell awful.

Your analysis is off. The Xbox started strong, dipped down and then came back up. GameCube was similiar, just a little worse than Xbox. Neither one sold "awful" since both sold over 20 million, they just didn't do as good as PS2.
Looking at Wii sales compared to GameCube, Wii is easily doing better than GameCube did in the same period. Just in Japan, the Wii has already sold more than 25% of what the GameCube has done there. The Wii continues to easily outsell every system (except the DS Lite) in Japan and continues to do extremely well everywhere else as well.
Xbox 360 sales did flatten out for several months before improving again. You haven't provided a reason for why you think the Wii (which is doing tremendous numbers and continues to sell out) will drop for no reason while the PS3 (which is not doing so hot, and is very easy to pick up in stores) will increase (especially since almost every good third party game is also coming out on Xbox 360 and/or Wii).
