I am new to the 360 and want to get to know what are the best and most popular games currently out there being played. So if you could help me out by listing what your favs are, and or coming out that you want to get/play, that would be great. If you don't have 3 for each, maybe put ones you have heard are good.

Lumines Live (XBLA) (A lot of people whine that for 1200 points you get locked content and need other downloads to get those but once you get the downloads you are around the same price as the PSP and PS2 versions so why they were expecting to get a full Lumines game for a lot less is beyond me.)

I wouldn't be surprised to see a TDU2 and I can't wait if there is one. Also think that eventually Rallisport Challenge and Midtown Madness will return with new developers since EA have D.I.C.E. now. And there will be a lot of others announced since Microsoft seem to get a lot of racing games on their consoles.

Fighting

Soul Calibur IV and Tekken 6 are also rumored for 360. Don't see Tekken 6 happening though but SCIV might. XBLA will also likely continue to get more 2D fighters especially with Capcom's love of 360.

RPG

4. Mass Effect
5. Two Worlds
6. Fable 2

Then there is another Mistwalker RPG coming as well and then a sequel to MUA is bound to happen. Never thought I would see the day that a Microsoft console would have the best lineup of JRPG's coming for it even if it won't last long. PS3 will take back the JRPG crown once some of the big JRPG developers make the jump to next gen.

Action/Adventure

3. John Woo Presents Stranglehold (My love of Asian cinema probably has this higher than it should be.)
4. Too Human Chapter One
5. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent 2 (Or whatever it will end up called. Double Agent ended with a to be continued screen though so I am expecting it to keep the DA name.)
6. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Would be higher but looks like more of an expansion pack than new game.)
7. Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom
8. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
9. Indiana Jones 2007 (Guessing the name will change. Hopefully it is as good as the last Indiana Jones game.)

1. Battlestations Midway (Although it isn't just a flight game but close enough.)

Really this isn't a genre you see a lot outside of PC. Red Baron is another one that is coming but was only announced and unlike games that I know I will love such as PGR4 and DOA5 this isn't the kind of game I will list without knowing more about since chances are I will hate it.

1. Banjo Kazooie 3 (I hate Banjo and all the Rare platform games that are basically the exact same engine with different characters but should make platform fans happy.)

Puzzle

There will be more puzzle games on XBLA for sure and probably some kind of retail puzzle game but I don't feel like going to check what is coming since it isn't really a genre a follow news of.

1. The Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal bundle. Seriously can it get any better? Maybe this bundle will finally teach Halo fans what a good FPS really is.

3. Call of Duty 4 (Back with Infinity Ward..... rumored to take place in a modern war instead of WW2)

5. Battlefield: Bad Company
6. Frontlines: Fuel of War

8. Fall of Liberty (Sounds like a good concept and could bounce up my list in the future when more is known.)

Sports

6. 2K Sports Legends Football Game (A couple of years ago there is no way I would have Madden higher than a football game with the 2K Sports logo on it -----Or for that matter any EA sports game----- but 2K Sports is the new 989 Sports so I am keeping my expectations low. Hopefully like 989 Sports they start to get it right again though.)

I couldn't decide where to put BioShock so I will just mention it here. Has shooter, action and RPG elements. Same with Huxley which will be a MMORPG but play like a FPS.

Probably forgot games I am looking forward to but I was just trying to do this by memory of what is coming.

EDIT: Forgot Lost Planet but don't feel like editing it into the lists since I can't decide where I would put it in the action/adventure game. Pre-demo's would have been near the top but post demo's dropped it down.
