What are your personal favorite 3 RPG's of all time and why?
3. Final Fantasy (NES) - The first HUGE RPG that basically set the mold for all rpg's to follow it. This is still to date one of the more challenging games that you will come across.
2 Final Fantasy VII (PSX) - I remember seeing commercials for this at Movie Gallery on their videos and my mouth dropped at graphics and the gameplay. Argueabley the most popular RPG of all time it has spawned many games and movies based on these characters and has arguably one of the best storylines in all of gaming. Plus the Buster Sword is pimp...
1. Chrono Trigger (SNES) - I personally loves this game. Multiple endings, you pick your path, combo attacks, awesome artwork , witty dialogue, and an amazing story with Amazing characters. This game just has a special place in my heart as it was the game that really opened me up to RPG's

1. Oblivion (XBOX360) - This is by far the best RPG ever. The storyline is very intricate with many challenges. You dont even have to follow along to that storyline anyway, because you can just do whatever you want in Cyrodiil. Another great thing about this game is the open environment. The possibilities and freedom of the environment in oblivion are very inviting.
2. Pokemon (GameBoy) - I just had to pick one of the classics. This was the first video game I ever played and it is what got me hooked on gaming. What kid cant like 151 creatures you can catch and use? The challenge of beating the gyms, becoing Pokemon League champion, and catching all the Pokemon had me glued to my GameBoy for years with every other Pokemon game.
3. Golden Sun (GBA) - Where do I start? This game has one of the most interesting stories I have seen (besides Oblivion). Tracking down two devious villians to try and get artifacts they stole to bring balance back to the world. Whats not to like? My favorite things about this game besides the story are Djinn, psyenergy, and how far you can go in it. Djinn are creatures aligned with elements that are spread throughout the world. If you find and capture Djinn, you can combine their powers in battle to obliterate your enemies. Djinn also produce psyenergy. Psyenergy is powers given to the character to be used in battle and outside of battle. Different element combinations of Djinn grant different psyenergy and also change the characters class.

Pokemon Cystal: It made improvements over Gold & Silver, and is my favorite Pokemon game. I never got into Ruby.
Paper Mario: An RPG with Mario, how can you not like it? Easy to learn and fun combat system, really funny story that is full of inside jokes that only hardcore Mario fans will really get. This is one of my most anticipated Virtual Console games.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: Improves upon the first PM game, and shows why Intelligent Systems is one of the best developers around. I still haven't completed the Pit of 100 Trials due to how long it takes (the last time I tried, it took over 1 hour to get to floor 90 and I was too tired to continue).

I just 1000 point'd Oblivion love the storyline and all the little side quests and guild quests. Really good game and pretty amazing scale as well. For all those who think GTA SA is the pinnacle of gaming need to play this game.
The only other RPG I have played at length is a MMORPG which is City of Heroes which was pretty good for a while but then it just got boring.
Go to building, fight in building for 3 hours, repeat 4 times, level up and begin again.
you should try Super Mario RPG for the snes(i heard from a friend its coming out for the wii virtual console too). its the first rpg with mario and its sweet. also, both mario and luigi: superstar saga and partners in time are good rpgs with them.
I rented Super Mario RPG when I was a kid, and will probably buy it when it hits the Virtual Console. I also owned the first Mario & Luigi game (on GBA), but never beat it because it got stolen along with my GBA SP.

MY wife used to play COH before I got her onto WoW with me. She has 2 lvl 50 character on COH and one on COV... she is in a clan known as the Babes of War... I never could get into the game myself.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - This game awesome; The World is huge, The Graphics are good, So much to do, So much to see, and its a huge up on the previous Elder Scrolls.
Final Fantasy - Im in love with the series. I never been able to get into game stories because I tend to just skip through the story lines...But with Final Fantasy I actually read the text and listen to the movies. Final Fantasy is in the Chewy Top 3 favourites of all time.
World of Warcraft - Love at first sight is the 4 words that describe this game well for me. I first got into it when I played the demo trail 2 weeks ago...and I knew right there and then that WoW is the game for me. Its fun to play, the visual is top notch, and I havent really found a flaw yet...GOOD, GOOD GAME!!
