PS3/X-Box 360/Wii Debate

Which one will will you get? I am going to end up owning all three, but I would have to cast my vote for Xbox 360.

The Wii, because unlike the other two they are being revoloutionary, instead of just throwing the old formula together and beefing it up. The PS3 copied Nintendo on the 'sensitive' controller.

There is all ready a similar thread.... but 360 would be the best. Power wise ps3 would have a small advantage over the others, 360 would have the best variety of games, where many former ps3 exclusives will now come across both platforms. 360 will have Gears of War, Fable 2, and Halo 3. When you also add in the cost for ps3, the Xbox 360 is the smarter buy. When it comes to innovative gameplay and having the Nintendo liscensed games, Wii is going to be great as well. I think you'll be good with all of the new systems that are coming out. Wii also won the best of E3 award.

Here is my ranking of how much I look forward to the systems...

But at the same time, why fix what isn't broken. The controller is great the way it is. Innovative is cool, but it's not a necessity when everything is evolving in the games themselves and the current avenues of controlling the game are still fun and fresh.

I would put Wii first, for pure Quality and entertainment (talk in the SB please griff)

But still, I mean, you don't want something that has been tried and tested again and again, you want to move on, and taking steps forward is the way to inovate, not standing still and having a bigger hardrive. It is entertainment over power.

Well I wouldn't put it first yet

1. We haven't got to expirience the new controlls themselves

2. We'll miss out on a lot of games that can't adapt to those types of controls.

3. I won't say graphics are most important, but they do help someone feel like they are in the game. And Wii is currently on level with Current gen graphics.

Current gen is still good, also, I mean, everyone who played them at E3 seemed very pleased.

A lot did, but there were some that didn't, and I'm not really one to take someone elses word when it comes to something like innovative play. i have to try it myself. My concern is that if gameplay and graphics are stepping forward and leaving Wii in the dust, then will it survive when the public for the most part is primarily concerned with the look and smoothness of gameplay rather then the new ways to play the game.
