Ok guys, so I've been thinking this over for a few days and I think I'd like to run a Modern Warfare 2 league. Obviously we are still about a week out on release but I just want to touch base with everyone as most people know if they are getting a game of this caliber months in advance. Right now, this is only being run on
XBOX 360.
Details you ask? Here's what I have so far...
1) Two man teams in various match types. The types will rotate approximately every 3 weeks or so in order to spice it up.
2) Scoring is pretty simple. (2) points for a win, (0) points for a normal loss, (3) points for a championship victory and (-1) point for losing the title. Champions losing a championship match will be dropped towards the middle of the rankings. Also, you can only play a team within two spots plus/minus your position I.E. a #5 seed team can only play seeds #3, #4, #6 or #7. This may be amended in the future as the amount of teams increase/decrease.
3) It will be up to the participants to report match scores to me and I will post them along with recalculating the rankings. You can have as many matches as you like as that will go to increase your ranking.
4) Each team must have a team name and possibly a team logo. Please request team logos in the GFX section if you cannot provide one for yourself.
5) Announce your teams in this thread, THIS will determine intial seeds. So if you are the first one to announce your team, you will start as seed #1.
6) Launch time for this as it stands is 11/16, about a week after release.
And that's it for right now. We'll use this thread as a multipurpose information location right now.
Please use this thread to discuss anything right now. Partner request, team breakups, random idle chatter etc...
Another thing, please please please, when you announce your team, leave your gamer tags as well for those of us who may not know you. I will post all the teams and rankings at the top of this thread starting as soon as today maybe.
