yeah i got murdered last night. kid ran the wildcat every play with willie parker. i was able to stop it by basically blitzing my line backers and corner backs, but he was still getting a few yards everytime, and it then left his receivers wide open.
First of all, the wildcat is not unstoppable. What I would do if it's getting out of hand is maybe use a quarter formation depending on what team they are using. Then I'd crowd the line of scrimmage with all those DB's and blitz half of them and drop the others into a zone... this way you have your fastest players on the field.
But Terry.. the key to Madden defense is not relying on your AI to do it for you. You have to make tackles yourself and cover running backs in the flat yourself at times because the computer is never going to be as smart as you are.
Your not shutting down a Minny Wildcat with a Miami Playbook. Harvin or Peterson will break one every 3 or 4 plays. Or theyll pass it and your fugged there to.

I always blitz in some way when I think they're running or if they use the wildcat. It works about 60% of the time or they get a huge play. Just always leave your safeties in coverage. I also do what Brandon suggested with the quarter and that works usually too. Cover 2 man coverage with everyone moved up works with a lot of scenarios.

I've been using the Vikings and Browns. Browns get blown out no matter what. Vikings I usually hang in the game, but I give up a lot of big plays that put me out of the game.

With a team like the Vikings I'd use a cover 2 and control Kevin or Pat Williams and just obliterate the O Line. You could even use Jared Allen who is the man.
