Hockey games? Need some advice on which to get.
I want to get a hockey game for my PS3 but I don't know which one is better. Is the 2K game better than EA sports or vice versa? What are the pros and cons of each? I ask here because we have a lot of gamers. I used to love playing hockey games on my Sega so I'm just curious and want to start playing some more again. I bought NHL 08 a month or so ago used just to try it out and it wasn't bad, just don't ever play that one. So some advice would help.

EA 2009 is better then 2k9. Not sure about this year though. Sometimes it goes either way. I'd wait and check reviews.

The last few years the EA NHL games have been the best sports games period and have been taking most sites sports GOTY awards to show it. NHL 2K has yet to be good this gen and while this year is supposed to be better it isn't going to compete with the EA games. And even then I am not confident it really will be better. They announced that for strategic purposes they won't be releasing a 2K10 demo this year which to me translates into our game is not that great and a demo could hurt potential sales so we are not going to release one.

Yeah it does. You just have to go back to the last gen when EA were the ones making the shit while 2K were making the good.

I bought NHL 10, more awesomeness.

First Person fighting is fun as fuck, and the new board controls are sweet. Franchise mode is pretty damn kick ass as well. HAvent tried BAP yet.

I cant stop hearing good things about NHL 10. The fighting is great, the crowd doesnt look like legos, even the soundtrack is fucking awesome. Get NHL 10.
