July 14, 2009 - The last downloadable expansion for Fallout 3, dubbed Mothership Zeta, has been given a release date for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC versions. Those on a Microsoft system can expect to find it available for purchase on August 3 for 800 Microsoft points (US $10). No release info was given for the PS3 version.
Mothership Zeta takes players to outer space on an alien abduction. The distress call from the fallen UFO that players could track down in the main Fallout 3 game turns out to be much more in this download as players get beamed aboard an alien spaceship. There, they'll meet new characters, both from the Wasteland and Earth's past, also been held by the aliens. These folks can be teamed up with to scheme up an escape plan, hopefully before the ship aims its weapons at Earth.
New weapons and armor are promised including the Alien Atomizer, Alien Disintegrator, Drone Cannon, Gemini-Era Spacesuit and Samurai Armor.
