The game will be treated like a service, the said, with tournaments every week and new features every couple of months. The developers are also looking into adding support for peripherals like headsets and gamepads.

The team didn't address whether the game will include the rumored micro-transactions.

Electronic Arts plans to launch a beta for the game sometime in June.

this sounds awesome if you ask me, unless of course they charge a shit ton a month to play.

Battlefield Heroes while a good game has killed my interest in these types of games from EA. They are too money hungry to properly pull it off. For example in Battlefield Heroes you can play the game free but only get your most basic outfit and weapons. In order to get other things you have to pay real cash but here is the real fun part.... you only get to use those items you paid real cash for for a limited time like a costume you can only use for seven days. AMAZING!!!

Browser based games are free because of the advertisements that make the developer money and not meant to be free while still having those advertisements and lame ways to try and get cash from people playing.
