I have to buy the strategy guide for this game. The manual that comes with the game is just useless and the tutorial in the game is even more useless. I have amazing stamina and submission defense, yet I tap out easy. Anytime Im on my back Im screwed (Pun intended?) I suppose it doesnt help that my thumbs and anf fingers are too huge to properly use shine. Any tips for ground work?
I must admit Online is terrible you rarely find a match and when you do freak knock outs occur and lag occurs as well. I love the Career mode and from all my friends and stuff the only fighter anyone loses to is Evans. I don't like how you can't move up or down weight classes. But yes the ground game is so hard to master that's why the majority of people I know just do stand up and sometimes the occasional takedown.

I was exactly the same and getting really frustrated but you start to get used to it, now when I get taken down, more times than not I can grapple my way back to stand up.

Just played the game for the first time today at a firend's. The game is sick. Once I get enough money I need to buy this game and a new system for it lol.

I had it, beat it, sold it. It's a THQ game, fwiw, it's probably their best effort in a long time, but that doesn't mean it's without it's really fucking stupid shit. Such as the whole "lolweregonnastartuoffata21overall" Plus the difficulties were all out of whack(at least for me) in career, beginner was too easy(even as a 21 overall) but Advanced(the 2nd one, idk if it was advanced or not) wasn't too hard, but submissions were brutal for me. Overall I'd give it like a 7/10, it was a valiant effort, but THQ proved once again it sucks ass at career type modes
