The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Ewood Park with the player previously admitting he wants to play at the top level, both domestically and internationally. Now the former Arsenal trainee has announced he has set his sights on a move away from the north-west as he seeks European football. Bentley told Sky Sports News: "I made it clear to the club what I wanted to do. "The situation is I want to move on. I want to be playing Champions League football, or in Europe. "And the club's situation has changed over the last few weeks so I'm not really up on where they are at. They have got to sort out which manager is going to come in. "I've been here for three years and I love the club and I love playing for them but I feel like I've done everything I can. "I want to move on and try and push up the ladder and push on and try and be as successful as I can be in football and I believe that lies elsewhere. "I want a new challenge. I believe I have done as much as I can at the club and want to push on somewhere else." Bentley joined Rovers in January 2006 after the player failed to make a breakthrough at Arsenal. He admitted he hoped he had repaid any debt, saying: "I owe so much to them and I hope I've repaid them with the way I've played. "But I need to be pushing and moving on somewhere else so we'll see what the summer can bring and in this transfer window hopefully something can be sorted out." Blackburn are currently looking for a new manager after Mark Hughes left for Manchester City but Bentley denied this had been a contributory factor in his decision to leave. "I discussed things with the manager then and the chairman and I made it clear I wanted to move on," Bentley continued. "Their situation has changed but mine hasn't. I need to be pushing on and moving on and that is what I am looking to do."

According to Roma's website, the 27-year-old has signed a four-year deal after Liverpool had given them permission to discuss personal terms. Left-back Riise signed for Liverpool in 2001 and helped them to the FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League titles. Roma, who will play in the Champions League next season, have been targeting the versatile Norwegian for some time. Riise, who notched up over 300 appearances for Liverpool after moving to Anfield from Monaco in 2001, played second fiddle to Fabio Aurelio for much of last season after the Brazilian established himself as the club's first choice left-back. When Aurelio came off injured during last season's Champions semi-final first leg against Chelsea, Riise replaced him only to score an own goal in stoppage time. Last year, Riise was involved in an infamous spat with former team-mate Craig Bellamy after a karaoke night on a team bonding trip to Portugal. Bellamy was fined £80,000 by the club for his involvement and stated he had "lost control".

The 20-year-old, who has been dubbed the new Zinedine Zidane, has reportedly agreed a four-year contract and will join after Euro 2008. Nasri, who has made two appearances at this summer's European Championship, has spent the last four seasons with the French side. He came to prominence in France's U-17 European Championship side in 2004. The 20-year-old is believed to have a £13.5m buy-out clause in his contract. Nasri joined Marseille as a nine-year-old and made his league debut during the 2004-2005 season. Last season, Nasri, who can play on either wing, won the French first division's young player of the year crown and was voted Marseille's player of the year by fans. This campaign he scored six goals in 30 games for the French outfit with the final strike in his tally coming in the 4-3 win over Strasbourg last weekend that helped secure Marseille's berth in next season's Champions League. Nasri had appeared at various youth international levels for France before winning the first of seven senior caps in 2007, though he only came on as a substitute as Les Bleus exited Euro 2008.

Rep Power: 42 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The Summer 2008 Transfer/Rumors Thread Cristiano Ronaldo says he hopes to "complete his dream" of moving to Real Madrid, despite Manchester United insisting he is "not for sale". The European champions said on Friday: "We are not listening to offers." But the Portugal winger, 23, has signalled his intention to "take advantage of a great opportunity". "Everybody knows what I want but things don't only depend on me," he said. "I am not the person who decides but I hope to complete my dream." Ronaldo stated that he made up his mind before the Champions League final that he wanted to leave United for Real. And he revealed that Luiz Felipe Scolari, about to take over at Chelsea after Portugal's exit from Euro 2008, advised him to make the move. "It is a dream, a step forward," Ronaldo replied when asked about the prospect of playing at the Bernabau. "For me, it is a great opportunity and, as Scolari says, that train passes by only once and we have to take advantage of it." Ronaldo indicated he will make a public statement about his plans over the next few days. He said he had not spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson, who is on holiday in France, during his participation in Euro 2008. And he insisted he is not worried about upsetting the United manager, who he is set to meet for talks about his future following Portugal's exit against Germany on Thursday. "It is my opinion," added Ronaldo. "That is why I don't mind if people get upset. It is my decision. It is what I want." The midfielder was in scintillating form throughout the domestic season and scored 42 goals as United clinched a Premier League and Champions League double. United have already reported Real Madrid to world governing body Fifa over their public courtship of Ronaldo, although the organisation decided to take no formal action. Real president Ramon Calderon insists any prospective transfer is far from a done deal, although admitted Ronaldo's comments could be a "key step' in the process. "As we have already said many times, it is a problem between Manchester United and the player," Calderon told Spanish sports paper AS. "If the two resolve this situation and Manchester United want to call us then we will be happy and delighted with them because Cristiano is a great player. "If the kid keeps himself in that strong position, the step he has taken could be key." Ronaldo's possible transfer fee has been put at between £50m and £80m. He said after Portugal's 3-2 defeat by Germany that he requires surgery on a "small foot problem" that has been bothering him for three months. "I'll have the operation and then have a good recovery period," he added.

The 20-year-old has signed a four-year deal for a reported £15.8m, although Arsenal have yet to confirm the move. Nasri made just two outings as a substitute at Euro 2008 as France were eliminated at the group stages. He has spent the last four seasons with Marseille and came to prominence in France's Under-17 European Championship side in 2004. Nasri, who has been dubbed the new Zinedine Zidane and will be 21 on 26 June, joined Marseille as a nine-year-old and made his league debut during the 2004-2005 season. He can play on either wing or through the centre and won the French first division's young player of the year award, and was voted Marseille's player of the year by fans, at the end of the 2006/2007 campaign. Last season he scored six goals in 30 games for the French outfit, his final strike in a 4-3 win over Strasbourg helping secure Marseille's berth in next season's Champions League. Nasri had appeared at various youth international levels for France before winning the first of seven senior caps in 2007. Speaking about the player earlier this month, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: "At 21 years old his whole future is ahead of him and he has quite a margin for progressing further. "He has, in any case, the qualities needed to assert himself at the highest level." Nasri could be a replacement for Alexander Hleb, whose future remains uncertain after he held talks over a possible move to Barcelona.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Ronaldinho Close To Milan Move Source BBC Sport: Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook believes the club remains an option for Ronaldinho despite his agent saying he will probably join AC Milan. The Brazilian's brother and agent Assis de Moreira told an Italian TV station on Thursday that a deal to join Milan is "90% done". But City have also been in talks with Ronaldinho's representatives about bringing the 28-year-old to Eastlands. "Although there is long way to go, we are optimistic," said Cook. "We will continue to do so until it is not right to bring the player to the club or he decides not to come." A big move, hope he doesn't move to City and the rumored 200k a week he supposedly after is a disgrace. What do you guys think?
