Havant and Waterlooville managed to pull off a major “Cupset” by beating Swansea in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup to line up a glamour tie with the mighty Liverpool. Now my question is what would you do if you were in charge of Liverpool for their 4th round tie against the minnows from the Blue Square South Division? Would you field your strongest team, with the likes of Gerrard, Alonso, Carragher and Torres lining up against the part timers and give them a hiding within the first 20mins of the match? Or would you field a second string side and not risk their ‘superstars’ because you have important matches in the league and European Cup coming up, and the risk of players getting injured in a meaningless match is too big? Personally I’d field a weakened side, but still include a few big names, like Gerrard, Crouch and Hyypia in the starting line up. If anything Havant and Waterlooville have earned the right to play Liverpool at Anfield, and I’d at least let them compete against a few of the regular first teamers for 45mins to an hour. But as we know Mr Benitez is not the most predictable man in the world, so who knows what team he’ll put out.

Midfield would be the likes of Sissoko. Not Gerrard unless i have no other midfielders. Crouch & Kuyt upfront. Torres not even on the bench in case of tempation at 0-0. If Havent win, i'd resign before i got sacked.

I see a similar team to what God nsays, it would be great for the non leaguers to get a chance to play against the likes of Gerrard and Torres but at least they get the chance to say they played at Anfield against Liverpool.
