| Leeds United in Administration With the news that Leeds have now gone into administration (and relegated so they can take their 10 point penalty this season and not next), could this be the biggest, quickest sinking of any big football in England? At the end of season 2001/2 they had finished 5th in the Prem and played in the UEFA Cup (the season before this they had reached the Semi Finals of the Champions League!!). Their squad was... Goalkeepers - Nigel Martyn & Paul Robinson Full Backs Danny Mills, Gary Kelly & Iain Harte Centre Backs Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Woodgate, Dominic Matteo & Michael Duberry Midfielders Olivier Dacourt, David Batty & Seth Johnson Att Midfielders Harry Kewell, Lee Bowyer, Eirik Bakke & Jason Wilcox Forwards Mark Viduka, Alan Smith, Robbie Keane & Robbie Fowler Next season they will be playing Cheltenham, Port Vale & Doncaster. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: Leeds United in Administration It's very sad to see Leeds down where they are at the moment. I do hope they bounce straight back up next season. I do feel the decision to go into administration this season was for the best. It would be desperatly hard for them to have pushed for automatic promotion next season with a 10pts deduction. All the best to Leeds and their supporters. I guess they thought they'd seen the worst of it... but unfortunatly not. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: Leeds United in Administration Leeds go in to Administration and then come out of it just as fast. All i have to say about that is........smart work by them, it saves them being rock bottom from the start next year and having a up hill fight from the start. As for them going down that far, look at man.city. They have cam back and are doing okay. This is just a bad couple of years for them. One day they will get back to the top league where they belong. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Leeds United in Administration I want to use Nottingham Forest, they won the european cup and yet how long has it been since they even contended for an EPL spot? I dont see Leeds coming back for quite some time. Least of all with Dennis Wise in charge. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: Leeds United in Administration Remember the days of Lorimer, Clarke, Bremner, Hunter? Very good team they were back then, but gone downhill fast the past few years. | ||||||||||||||
