| Transfer roumers. We know theirs gonna be a lot of them so post them here and give your opinions on other teams roumers also. Arsenal: Darren Bent. Arsenal are lining up a New Year swoop for Charlton striker Darren Bent in the upcoming January transfer window. Bent's Charlton future is ultimately going to depend upon the outcome of results leading up to the January transfer window and whether or not the Addicks can realistically show whether they are capable of keeping a hold of their Premiership status. The 22-year-old has grown increasingly concerned at the lack of commitment from his team mates and despite his goal contribution so far this season, may feel that his loyalty has been tested as much as it can and will be keen to jump ship sooner rather than later. His most recent performances suggesting he has given up trying. A spokesman for the club said: “The whole issue surrounding Darren’s [Bent] future is a big problem for the club at present and one it intends to get resolved immediately”. Bent is set for a meeting with Charlton boss Les Reed, who last week issued a hands-off warning to possible suitors and will try his up most to keep hold of his prize asset. An improved contract from the board will be offered to help with these talks, but Bent may have already made up his mind. Whilst Bent's agent has been touting his client around to the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United, this has been a process in order to increase the price tag in which Arsenal will need to meet. During a meeting with Bent’s agent, an Arsenal representative has already requested a performance review from the Sparrows Lane training ground and they are monitoring the situation closely. Born in Tooting, Bent has been an Arsenal supporter since childhood and his hero at the time was Gunner’s legend Ian Wright. In October, Bent told the Independent about how people liken his football technique with Wright’s: "I think in style we are different, but I've tried to take on some of his [Ian Wright’s] characteristics. I loved his general play, the goals he scored, but also the passion he showed. His love for the club is the reason he did so well." Bent currently admires Theirry Henry, who is currently said to be unhappy with life at Ashburton Grove and Bent could either be brought in as his replacement, or have his ultimate dream made a reality by having the chance to play alongside the Frenchman. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Bent and has praised the striker on a number of occasions since the striker moved from Ipswich Town to Charlton. Charlton were asking in the region of £15 million, during the summer, in order to deter approaches, but Arsenal are only willing to start proceedings with a transfer fee of around £9 million with a player exchange also a possibility. Adriano. Inter are eyeing a move for Arsenal striker Thierry Henry and could offer the Premiership club a swap deal including Adriano, according to the latest reports in Italy." "According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Moratti and Co. could offer Arsenal Brazilian striker Adriano as a counterpart in a straight swap deal, without including any cash fee." "Reports suggest Inter plan to make their offer shortly in order to beat rivals Barcelona in the race to sign the striker. Carvalho. The Brazilian forward has emerged as a real talent of European football over the past couple of seasons, and he was excellent as CSKA Moscow frustrated the Gunners this season. It is now believed that Arsène Wenger will male a move to land him in a cut-price deal when the transfer window reopens, as the player has little more than a year remaining on his current deal. “At the moment I have a contract with CSKA. I plan to play for CSKA till the end of my contract,” said Carvalho. "My contract expires next December. Maybe it can be extended, but this depends on me and CSKA's president.” Ante Rukavina. (translation) Ante Rukavina has made, with his excellent preformances, big teams from Croatia (Dinamo, Hajduk), lot of teams across Europe interested for him. Several teams from France (including both Olympiques , Lyon and Marseille) sent scouts to watch him with great interest. Last scouts that came to watch him are from Arsenal! They came to watch him in Šibenik-Kamen Ingrad game. Tony Banfield came to Sibenik, Arsenal's scout whose job is to search players in Italy, France, Spain,... Rukavina's manager Siniša Šošo (he is not worthy to spend any words on him, and unfortunately he represents young prodigy) and Pharos Sport agency have thier connection in Dusko Grabovac, former HNS employee and close friend of Arsenal's vice-chairman David Dean. " I have been talking to Dean for quite some time about Ante. After a while there is again young player that deserves to be talked about. It's too early to say Arsenal's intentions, but they are very interested. Besides, Rukavina is nowhere near 70% caps " told Grabovac to "Vecernji List" (Evening news) Jesus Navas. Arsène WENGER is ready to take another big money gamble on Sevilla, and try to land winger Jesus Navas - even though he suffers terribly from homesickness. The Gunners boss has tracked Navas for two years and wants him to add width to the Arsenal right flank. But Wenger has a patchy record of signings from the La Liga club. Jose Antonio Reyes was a £10.5m buy from them in January 2004, but quit Arsenal for Real Madrid last August because he was desperate to return to Spain. Navas, 21, would be an even bigger risk. He would have a multi-million pound price tag, but left the Spain Under-19 team because he missed home and his family, walked out of a Sevilla training camp for the same reason and has been seeing a psychologist to try to tackle his problems with homesickness. | |||||||||||||||

| Nice thread : I really like rumours from supporters of actual clubs. For instance I'm a big Liverpool fan. I know that we're really serious about aquiring Lucas Neill in January, I also know Steve Warnock might move the other way. I've also got a good idea about the players Rafa wants's (Alaves Liorente etc). Realistically it's better than hearing the same old Defoe/Hargreaves stories. I'd really like to keep this thread as a proper forum for rumours that have base. Not just the stupid Dailly Star stuff. | ||||||||||||||

| I think you can do better than Neill. IMO hes overrated. unless you want him as a back up player i wouldent even coinsider him. Its only News Of The World, so im not believeing it yet: Arsenal are poised to make a move for Besiktas defender Gokhan Zan. He is probably Turkey's best centre-back. | |||||||||||||||
