- Scott Steiner is said to be in pretty rough shape, but then again he has been that way since the final year of WCW. There was a point in time where he would warm up for a full hour before going out for a match, and another time when after a 10 minute match he couldn't pick up a napkin he dropped in a hotel, but when he finally did manage to get down on one knee to pick it up he grabbed his back and had to lie down on a couch to relieve the pain. Steiner's days in the ring may be numbered, as he had made it clear to friends he has no interest in appearing on camera if he looks feeble or injured. He was once working through back pain so bad that he couldn't do any flat-back bumps and had to fall to his side or to his knees, and explain later to the wrestlers that he wasn't trying to no-sell their moves but he simply couldn't do the back bumps.
Steiner is said to be pretty hard on himself, and most of the locker room feels bad for him at times despite his reputation as an absolute lunatic who has threatened people's lives over booking decisions. In WCW, Jeff Jarrett was always known as the guy who could keep Scott under control and calm him down.
Says one fellow wrestler regarding Scott's health: "He can't bend over and tie his shoe because of his lower back pain. His stretching routine before matches is barbaric just so he has the mobility to get through a match because he's wound so tight. His back is so bad watching him go through a 12 step process to sit in a car seat is excruciating. It's so not a secret that his back causes him tremendous pain and is an overwhelming concern in his life every day"
Friends continue to encourage Steiner to back off on his muscle-mass, but Steiner continues to be stubborn and prioritize being as big as possible over all else. He never misses a work out and fans said they saw him at a gym in Hawaii while he was there on his honeymoon. Steiner is still financially set from his WCW days and real estate ventures with his brother, but there is tremendous pressure for him to retire due to his physical condition. With so many TNA wrestlers on the shelf, the loss of Steiner would be a major blow to the company.

Whatever you say, Tom. It may have been light hearted, but the problem is a lot of people feel that way, and that's what causes wrestlers to stay when it's against their best interests. I'd rather see the man alive for another 25 years then him become another case of Eddie Guerrero or Chris Benoit, although the later seems unlikely because of Benoit did.

Re: Update on the Very Bad Health of Scott Steiner
Does Steiner want to end up like Dyno? When your body is breaking down, you need to listen to it. I assume Steiner wants to live a long life, but unless he does something soon, his life will forever be altered for the bad.

But seriously with him out that can only add to TNA's problems. Here is a list of people that have just recently had been injured or what not (can't be fucked lookin up that actual stuff): Sting has just gotten a knee injury, Alex Shelley is sick so thats not to bad, Robert Roode hurt his ankle, Kong has been having back problems, Christy Hemme is out with neck injury, Brother Ray is out but thats not an injury problem but hes still out (as well as Joe, Petey kayfabe-wise), Kevin Nash is also out, thats a shitload of people and pretty much ever champion. I am sure Jeff Jarrett was hurt after his match with Angle to I read somewhere so thats pretty bad for the company and they need to do something fast!
Scotts had a long run, he should retire soon this year.

Re: Update on the Very Bad Health of Scott Steiner
Steiner is comedy on the mic...and sometimes I can't tell whether he intentionally is on purpose or not.
But I think he needs to hang it up...he has nothing else to prove. And I can understand he loves the wrestling bussiness. And history tells that alot of superstars have trouble walking away. He needs to start thinking more about his health...sad to say....even by just looking at him on tv...through a fans eyes you can tell he isn't in good shape. The man can barely move in the ring..and after reading this...it's sad. And I worry...I hope he retires...he needs to. And I agree with Ken it wouldn't be a big loss if TNA got rid of him. But I don't hope they get rid of him...I hope he himself retires.
