Where are they going with the Motor City Machine Guns?

Now, myself and Zach were talking about all the interesting angles that they could do with the Motor City Machine Guns and them being kind of the middle of the Main Event Mafia and the TNA Originals or TNA Young Lions or whatever you want to call them. I personally have thought of a million ideas for this to be booked. But how would you go about it? How do you think TNA will go about it? Do you think it will be good for the Motor City Machine Guns? Or do you think it'll damage their career?

Well I think it is good for their careers currently, because a lot of the young guys are just blending into the crowd being part of the originals team. The MCMG are clearly a key part of the angle as there is a lot of focus on them and whose side they are on. I think their heel work is great at the moment. I mean, when they were disrespecting Mick Foley, they just come across as the disrespectful young punks who I want to smack in the mouth. I don't think it would make sense for them to join the Mafia as such, and I don't think there is any danger of that happening, but it would sure get them some insane heat if they cost the 'Young Lions' some matches against the Mafia intentionally.

They represent everything the Main Event Mafia talk about when they mention 'lack of respect' though. They don't care about either team, they just care about themselves and don't take anything seriously. The way I would book it would be for the Guns to ultimately turn face and side with the Mafia. It would be amazing for them to look like complete dicks, but then heroically save the other young guys from a beatdown and shake hands with Joe.

I think TNA will add them to the MeM soon.

Shelley is leaning more towards the MeM than Sabin is. Shelley is Going to be 'Dealt' with by Foley this coming week and maybe this is an indication of Foley kicking Shelley out of the group or revealing a MeM plan in which Shelley is involved.

See, I saw them as joining the Main Event Mafia but they aren't main eventers, so it wouldn't make sense. The Main Event Mafia is all about being the big dogs in a middle organization. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin would be more than willing to jump to the WWE if they ever got the chance. Not to mention the group is based on Sting and his "respect" issues which clearly TNA highlighted the Motor City Machine Guns didn't have respect. But an important thing to notice is the main guy they disrespected week after week was Christian Cage and LAX. Both of which aren't part of the Main Event Mafia.

I think this is great for their careers and part of me thinks it was Mick Foley's idea to involve Shelley in it. Seeing as they obviously have some chemistry on the microphone against each other. But it's putting them in a spotlight. They've been off to the side for such a long time just as another tag team and I've personally been dying for them to get involved in something big. This being one of the better angles TNA has had in awhile is definitely a plus.

As far as where TNA might put them I see them making them their own little "against everyone" attitude. I don't see them getting into the Main Event Mafia, but I can see them being against the Young Lions. If booked right and if they give Shelley plenty of time on the microphone they could pull it off, but eventually they'll have to come to a conclusion down the line. But a conclusion can't really be drawn until everything has played out more.

I would like to see the Motor City Machine Guns used as the Main Event Mafia's lackeys. Obviously they wouldn't be "worthy" enough to join the Main Event Mafia and instead they would be chosen to preform their various tasks. It would give more focus directly on the Motor City Machine Guns and it could be a great career move.

There are three main options. The idea of them being the MEM's lackeys would work pretty well and get them a lot of heat. They have the charisma to really piss people off in that role. As I said, they have been pissing me off already with their ignorant and disrespectful behaviour towards Foley, Joe etc. They are undoubtedly great heels and a heel turn could really do them good right now.

On the other hand, I think that if they only teased a full blown heel turn, then had them help out Joe/Styles or whoever, then that would give them a lot of momentum and could be a pretty big moment in their careers. It would be so dramatic after their portrayal as being complete dicks who don't care about anything, if they eventually came round and showed some heart and integrity, manning up and realising where they stand in this whole issue by attacking the MEM and saving some originals from a beatdown. After the way they have been acting, this would be pretty surprising and people could really get behind them.

It has to go one way or another, but for now they can continue being arrogant dicks who are not a fan of either side and only care about themselves. From there it could go either way, but I don't think either outcome would be bad for their careers. They are great in either role and this whole focus on them during the angle is really making them seem like a big deal.

Well i think they'll remain the way they are now, until the end of the MEM vs TNA Orginals feud. And then i think they'll turn heel from there, It will not be good for them IMO, but then again, They're both good heels. So who knows?
