The Christian story is giving us a lot of headaches. Christian is a very quiet guy and doesn't tell anyone (even friends) where he's headed. We had this same problem when he left WWE for TNA several years ago.
The latest word backstage at the PPV last night is that Christian will be heading back to WWE once his current TNA deal expires next month. TNA is still trying to work out a deal with him, but most backstage feel he won't be staying.
Quote:
Christian Cage is indeed expected to leave TNA and return to World Wrestling Entertainment once his contract expires.
According to multiple sources, Cage recently informed TNA President Dixie Carter as well as Jeff Jarrett that that he felt it was in his best interest to consider his options with WWE.
It's being said that last night's Turning Point pay-per-view or this week's set of Impact television tapings could be Cage's final appearances with TNA.
Most of Cage's friends believe he is heading back to WWE once his contract with TNA expires.
Both of those contradict this which tnawrestlingnews posted 3 days ago....
Quote:
After a great deal of speculation regarding his future with TNA Wrestling, it now appears Christian Cage will remain with the company. Backstage sources indicate that he did not intend to leave the company and reports coming out about his possible departure were untrue. Cage expressed to WWE officials that he had no interest in re-signing with them. TNA believes if Christian were to leave that he would have made his intentions known by now.
Well, the more reliable ones are saying he's leaving TNA, but we will have to see what happens in the upcoming weeks.

Yes, I have a GIF of two women kissing.
Yes, it's hot. Yes it's Megan Fox kissing another woman from Jennifer's Body. Yes, it's hot... owait, I already said that. Yes, I'm aware this makes me sound like a total lesbian. But this scene? UNF.
IMO it'll be a huge mistake if he goes to WWE, He has a top spot in TNA, if he goes to WWE he'll be Mid Card. Which ain't fair IMO, Cage has all the tools to be a Main Eventer in WWE, He got the look, The Mic Skills and the Ring Skills.

If he ends up back in the WWE, I'm going to assume he sees retirement in his near future. He left the WWE under his own terms because he wanted a lighter schedule. Cage knew the only thing the WWE could really offer him was more money, but he just wanted to be happier.
Talk of him wanting to return makes me think he just wants to end his career in the place that made him a star. TNA has already shown that they no longer need him.
I would like to see Cage wrestle at least one more time in ROH though. There's still matchups with Aries, Strong and Nigel I'd like to see before he ends up in the closed contract with the WWE.

Him leaving TNA would kill me man. He's being used alright in TNA and WWE will honestly use him as shit. :\ Well, We'll see what happens.
I don't see how you can say that. If he hadn't decided to go to TNA he would have been a multi time World Champion in WWE by now. He was used perfectly well before his departure, and he could well be used great once more.

He would? Last time I checked, the WWE jobbed him out for months before he left. He got like one win since coming to SD.

Christian isn't a young buck anymore, I'm sure he see's WWE and a chance to one day retire as an agent after one more run at the top. The wrestling landscape has changed by leaps and bounds since he left WWE, the Benoit murders made WWE really take their wellness program seriously and the.. *ahem*.. "size" of WWE is visibly a lot smaller with guys like Jericho, Kendrick, Edge and the like all getting great pushes towards the top of the card. Cage knows what's going on in WWE, he has oodles of friends backstage.. obviously Christian might known the timing is just right to really make a big go of it.
Besides.. possible Edge and Christian reunion? Complete ownage.
